Christian kids are being sold as slaves in the Congo.

Widespread child slavery and severe religious persecution are documented in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with reports indicating that children from Christian communities are among the victims of abduction and forced labor.

Thousands of children, some as young as four, are forced into hazardous labor in the DRC's artisanal mines. They extract minerals like cobalt and coltan, which are essential for global electronics and electric vehicle batteries.

Armed groups like the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), an ISIS affiliate, frequently target Christian villages and churches for abductions. These groups are reported to use captives, including children, as forced laborers, porters, and sexual slaves.

The ADF explicitly targets non-Muslims, primarily Christians who make up the majority of the population. Reports detail massacres in churches and medical centers, with survivors often abducted into militant ranks.

Children in conflict zones are at high risk of being forcibly recruited as child soldiers by both rebel militias and, in some instances, government-aligned forces.

Today, Pope Leo @Pontifex visited the Great Mosque of Algiers and seemingly worshiped with a bunch of Muslims in Africa. Leo made this trip one day after his close Catholic Church confidants appeared on 60 Minutes in an interview attacking President Trump and his policies, most notably Trump’s actions of securing our border and standing up to Islamic terrorism in Iran, the same thing Leo himself has criticized Trump for doing.
