Actress Carla Abellana used the media conference of Selda Tres, a Sinag Maynila 2025 film entry, on Friday, September 19, to highlight the importance of speaking out against corruption and injustice.

Abellana said that everyone has a voice and a right to express outrage over government wrongdoing, particularly the misuse of millions of pesos in public funds. She emphasized her commitment to using her platform to "fight for our rights" and stand for what is right, stressing that silence is no longer an option.

When asked if she would bring this advocacy to Sunday's planned protests, Abellana said there were no definite plans but affirmed her support. She added that it was up to the people whether to join demonstrations, while reiterating her intent to keep using her voice in calling for accountability.
