[NEWS] Visa Joins as Sponsor of #BTS World Tour 'Arirang
Visa, a global payment technology company, is further solidifying its ties with global audiences by stepping forward as a worldwide tour sponsor for the BTS World Tour 'ARIRANG'. The BTS World Tour 'ARIRANG' marks the comeback of BTS, one of the top groups in today's popular music scene, and is also their first full-group tour in approximately four years.
This tour is a large-scale global event taking place across 82 shows in 34 cities.
The BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG, held in downtown Seoul on the 21st of last month, recorded 18.4 million online viewers alone. According to Visa data, the number of foreign tourists visiting Korea during that week increased by more than 25% compared to the weekly average of the past year (52 weeks), and travel-related spending also rose by about 20%. This demonstrates that just as BTS attracts listeners from all over the world, they are acting as a powerful catalyst for the tourism industry in the regions where the tour is held.
