Never a better time to mention I opened a "sleeper account" on the first Mastodon instance (https://t.co/4CbMzEJg0I) during its first week of operation way back in October 2016.
You should be able to find me there by searching for @[email protected]

@ronkorving The way I remember this is to be lazy: the first argument can be tab-autocompleted (because, as the destination target, it probably already exists).
@EmilyKoch I think your "Bacon number" might be as low as 3, if our experience of a deep and meaningful conversation on a school bus with Lily Allen counts (her husband starred in Black Mass with the protagonist).
🎂 sharp, the open source @nodejs image processing library I created way back in 2013, will turn 9 years old later this week. A big thank you to Google @ChromiumDev for their rather timely birthday present, which sees it included in the 2022 list of software to receive funding.
⛰️ On holiday in the Lake District and raising a glass of Helvellyn beer to everyone that helps maintain its namesake mountain, the 3rd highest in England. Fantastic 360° views from the summit today, if a little hot on the way back down.
It's a rather fruity mix of deep house for you this month, featuring the lovely music of @Clive_Accounts, @Luka_WeGoDeep, @MissYankey, @spiritchaser and many more.

Reminder: I'll be telling the story of sharp at the Lazy Load 22 online event this Friday and you can get 20% off the ticket price using the promo code "lovellsentme". Talks will be repeated during the day to help ensure everyone attending can find an appropriate time to watch.
From the history of art, through fashion, sustainability and security, @lovell details the story of sharp as it made its way into many of the popular JavaScript frameworks we use today

🛡️ There's a possible build-time vulnerability when installing versions of sharp prior to the latest v0.30.5. This does not affect its usage at runtime and is unlikely to affect anyone that already cares about the security of their build environment. https://t.co/DjhJSfpmrk
@arecular @JahDuran What a great... thread. The Roy Division one is superb. Am away at the mo but will get a pic of my Fur Division shirt at the weekend.
@neil_brunton Ha ha, got to keep 'em on the edge of their seats. Not pictured here which you'd also have loved was the microphone dangling from the light fitting above me.
🎥 Here's the makeshift home recording studio I assembled today for my "Powered by sharp" talk, which will be presented online at the Lazy Load 22 conference on the 10th and 17th June (ignore the incorrect dates on the screen).
🎟️ Early bird tickets are available now from £139.

@Beerwax_ Unfollow. What a disappointment to do so. This should/could have been the best crossover ever, but the use of N*Ts is not it; such a shame :(
Node.js 12 reaches EOL this week. When upgrading, please watch out for a bug in npm 8 that can corrupt package-lock.json files. This affects esbuild, sharp and other packages providing prebuilt binaries.
Possible workaround: "npx fix-has-install-script"

I was looking forward to attending today's @beckenhamtownfc game but sadly evidence has emerged of racism at the club and no meaningful action has been taken to deal with it. My friends and I are no longer going, and the money I would have spent has been donated to @SRTRC_England

Christopher Alexander's "Cascade of Roofs" pattern will shelter me always. His 1977 book "A Pattern Language: Towns, Buildings, Construction" will help you turn complexity into simplicity. Having only read two so far, I hope one day to fully comprehend his "Nature of Order" opus.
"People are deeply nourished by the process of creating wholeness" - Christopher Alexander
Thanks to Alexander's efforts, we have a detailed pattern to follow, learn from, and continue to build upon (and with).
