A spring broke in our ridiculously heavy couch. The new couch dude kindly offered to "re-home" it for only $189.
He wants us to pay him to resell our couch?!?!
Admittedly, there's no way for us to get it out in one piece. So it's now a bunch of small pieces. Destruction fun!
How many people does it take to grate the cheese for lasagna?
In my house it's apparently three. All the of us are having different issues with our arms/shoulders so we had to keep reading out. What a mess ๐
Working on a project in our kitchen and it ran long so we ordered food. Turns out fortune cookies are sponsored by manscaping now ๐ซค
Which is how my dad and I ended up awkwardly trying to avoid explaining my mother's fortune to her.
Next time I'll just eat the drywall sandwich.
Why's it so hard to answer direct y/n questions?!
Bro: good
SIL: only answers Dad
10 & 13 yo: incapable of hearing anyone over the age of 'adult'
Sis: hours long monologue before saying she's undecided
Mom: says how Dad's doing
Dad: spends 37 mins answering some other question
Dad: it's funny how our routines have all synched up and everyone wakes up to pee at the same time.
Aloud me: hah yeah, funny.
Inside voice me: it's almost like one of us is crazy loud and wakes up the rest of the house anytime they get up...
I've been twilight zoned. Eating pork chops (bone in).
My father, agent of chaos, eating his with a knife and fork.
My mother, proper mannered, picks hers up and is gnawing on it like a cavewoman.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe July 4th celebration.
And that you aren't kept awake until 2 am by jerk neighbors setting off illegal fireworks despite the giant professional display two streets over.
Bad sibling moment: Not only did I realize I didn't know what year my siblings were born I spent 5 minutes being undecided about my brother before giving up and asking my mom.
I got confused and gave my mom a card and little present for Mother's day yesterday. She was so touched and distracted she didn't notice I was early either. So now I am a rock star and my siblings are slackers. *insert evil laugh here*
@jessiemihalik Oh fantasy. Lol sorry. Hmm that is true all the ones that spring to mind are a series. Though Elisa Kova's married to magic series only inhabits the same world with separate couples.
@jessiemihalik If you like dark stuff I loved Run Posy Run. Technically there is a book two but it's not particularly related.
The author Cate C Wells has a good rejected mates series too. They are in the same world, but each book has different characters and they only tangentially interact.
