if you're wanting to hear more alessia cara I BEG you listen to in the meantime. this album is a fucking masterpiece, 18 tracks and every single mf one is incredible. trust me.
@AnimalUnite@WylersL it requires more planning than an omnivore diet. also not everyone following a meal plan is trying to reach a “very specific body goal”. there’s many reasons why people follow meal plans, and many vegans do so as well.
@AnimalUnite@WylersL like i said, it requires more careful planning. and no. and they’re actual studies, idk what to tell you. and what you’re saying is true, but not every single person absorbs those as well. being vegan ≠ unhealthy. never said that. i’m stating known facts.
@AnimalUnite@WylersL for example you’re right about plant products also containing lots of nutrients! but you’re ignoring the fact that plant nutrients are harder to break down by our bodies. plants do not contain active omega-3 which is why our bodies work harder to convert it into that :)
@AnimalUnite@WylersL it’s not a myth. there’s a lot of studies around it. it’s known that the human body doesn’t process them as well. sorry. there’s still ways to get just as many nutrients and not have any deficiencies, it just takes more planning. vegans are still more prone to it.
@AnimalUnite@WylersL it’s lighting. lighting can heavily accentuate things sometimes. same thing happens to me. and every single person alive.
people have said the same things about me because the same bones of my body are just as visible, but i’m healthy and eat healthy. you can’t assume
@AnimalUnite@WylersL yes exactly. vegans of all weights. including underweight vegans. doesn’t mean those underweight vegans have eating disorders. and not necessarily, vegans are at a higher risk for nutrient deficiencies. it requires very careful meal planning.
@AnimalUnite@WylersL besides that, assuming someone is ‘struggling through something’ based on what their body looks like is dangerous and a form of bodyshaming. a very subtle one. still just as dangerous, though. you don’t know whether she’s struggling.
