Today the word "interstitial" came up casually more than once and it's the first time I've heard it.

It actually has many uses in several fields, and the synonyms are just as nuanced. It's also not a quick spell with all the "i"s and "t"s.

My rating of the word: 6/10

While irritated; instead of “dilly dallying” I said “I wasn’t “dilly daffoling”!” and my mistake made me laugh cos my visual of “dilly dallying” is frolicking among daffodils. | Clearly, an instance where my bimodal bilingualism clashed and produced something unexpected. 😚🌼🥸

The media is always interested in learning about Deafness or ASL from the hearing gaze; so as a person who hears—regardless of proximity to the Deaf community (CODA,SODA, etc)—we have to stop giving those stories and shift the lens to the authentic Deaf perspective .

@PBS Did you know that instead of hiring hearing people for signed segments on any of your programs, you can and SHOULD instead hire a Deaf person. There are an uncountable amount of incredible choices to choose from from the Deaf community who are not hearing.

I'm thrilled that so many people from all parts of my life are inspired to learn ASL in 2022. I completely support that. My one piece of advice is: make sure to learn from someone who is Deaf .

I’ve been a professional interpreter in NYC since I was 18/19 years old. I was part of an older generation in the city even though I was basically a kid swinging it. Sometimes I get blessed with moments where it’s noted that I too, was doing it when. #WASaKidWASNTkidding

I now regret not pursuing my childhood dream of becoming a famous pop singer…mostly because I realize—I’ll never be invited to be a special guest panelist on @RuPaulsDragRace and watch the Queens lip sync to my famous song. 🦿💄💋

Turns out, it took me until mid January to realize my apt heat temp has been MAX 56*F since May 2021. Have I been cold? Yes! Have I been sick? Yah! Have I thought to check the thermostat? Not once! *until today. So—remember, everyday is a new opporunity to change your life.
