@MelAdy00@secretions @AnaMardoll Ones that is mild on the stomach compared to other NSAIDs out there. If you are concerned, of course feel free to ask your doctor. The problem is that medications without any side effects do not exist. So it is a matter of weighing the pros and cons to see which medication...
@PositivPlanet@secretions @AnaMardoll This is basically what happens in the liver. It takes a bit to get the resources back if they're gone. The dangerous path, while it is slow and can lead to toxic effects on the liver if it is used too much, does not have this problem because it relies on enzymes, such as CYP 2 E1
@PositivPlanet@secretions @AnaMardoll My understanding is that the safe paths, while they are faster than the dangerous path, use up products in the body. Kind of like how sodium plus chloride makes table salt, if you run out of chloride, you can't make the salt anymore, and you have extra sodium lying around.
@secretions @AnaMardoll Dangerous pathway, but it is slow. This is where the danger of overdosing comes in. Guidelines say that healthy adults w a good liver should limit Tylenol to less than 4 grams a day maximum. But we are told in school to recommend sticking to less than 3.2 grams to play it safe.
