She has helped drive IVE'’s historic run of million-selling albums, Perfect All-Kills, and dozens of music-show wins while becoming a five-year AAA host, “Queen of AAA” in 2024 and Symbol of AAA in 2025. Wongyoung is a very popular fashion and advertising muse, a great TV host, and with the viral “Wonyoung mindset,” she radiates the rare mix of beauty, professionalism, and star power that makes an entire generation want to be her.

Wonyoung is a real musician and can play the piano, flute and violin. She is famous for her dance specialty in girl’s hip-hop and is also very talented in choreography! She's an influential figure in K-pop music and fashion, and her ability to balance a demanding career with academic and personal growth underscores her remarkable work ethic and versatility!

In 2018, Wonyoung ranked 1st overall in Mnet’s survival show, Produce 48, with 338,366 votes, earning the center position in the project group IZONE, becoming one of the youngest winners in the show’s history at just 14. Iz*One's debut EP 'Color*Iz' was released on October 29, 2018 with "La Vie en Rose" as the lead single and was an immediate commercial success, with the group winning New Artist of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards and the Seoul Music Awards! On February 17, 2020, Iz*One released their 1st Korean studio album 'Bloom*Iz'. Wonyoung co-wrote the track "Dreamlike" which was named by music webzine Beats Per Minute as the 19th best song of 2020!

After Iz*One's disbandment on April 29, 2021, Wonyoung hosted 'Music Bank' with Enhypen's Sunghoon and both won the Best Couple Award at the 2021 KBS Entertainment Awards for their performance on the program. In December 2021, she and Leeteuk hosted the 2021 Asia Artist Awards and Wonyoung officially debuted as a member of IVE on their single album 'Eleven' which debuted atop the weekly Gaon Album Chart. It has since been certified double platinum by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA) for over 500,000 sales units.

Wonyoung graduated from the School of Performing Arts Seoul on February 9, 2023. In April 2023, IVE released their 1st studio album, 'I've Ive' with Wonyoung penning "Mine" and "Shine with Me". On August 18, she hosted the first concert of KCON LA 2023. On October 13, IVE released their EP 'I've Mine', with Wonyoung writing the song "OTT". In December Wonyoung hosted the 2023 KBS Music Bank Global Festival with Rowoon and the 8th Asia Artist Awards with Kang Daniel and Sung Han-bin. On April 29, 2024, IVE released their 2nd EP 'Ive Switch' including Wonyoung's self-penned track "Blue Heart", inspired by her experiences in the entertainment industry, where women faced hyperscrutiny from media and fans. In December 2024, Wonyoung hosted the 9th Asia Artist Awards with Sung Han-bin and the 2024 KBS Music Bank Global Festival alongside Zico and Kim Young-dae, marking her 3rd consecutive year of hosting the KBS Year End Festival! Wonyoung hosted the 10th Asia Artist Awards in December 2025 with Lee Jun-ho, marking her 5th consecutive year as a host!

In August 25, IVE released 'IVE SECRET' which topped the Circle chart in Korea! Its title track "XOXZ" reached the Top 10 at #6 on the Circle Digital! On February 9, 2026, IVE released their pre-release single "BANG BANG" which hit #2 on the Circle Digital chart! Their 2nd studio album REVIVE+ dropped on February 23, and hit #2 on the Circle Albums chart! The title track "BLACKHOLE" was also a top 10 hit at #9 on the Circle Digital chart. The album featured Wonyoung's 1st official solo track "8" which she co-wrote and which hit #1 on the Circle Download chart and was a Top 20 hit on the Digital chart at #17! Wongyoung became the 1st IVE solo member to enter the Melon TOP 100 and hit #1 ion BUGS! "8" drew over 6,3 million streams on Spotify after its release!

Wonyoung has won numerous awards, including 3 Asian Artist Awards (Asia Celebrity in 2023 and 2024, plus Queen of AAA in 2024) and a Triple crown in 2025
(Asia Celebrity (Music), Symbol of AAA & AAA Grand Presence of K-pop)! She has also won Brand of the Year's 'Female Advertising Model' award and the K-World Dream Solo Artist Popularity Award in 2025!
Earlier awards included the KBS Entertainment Best Couple with Sunghoon (2021, Music Bank) and the Korea Youth Hope Award (2022).

Wonyoung is also a top model and Fashion Icon, described as "a blue chip in the advertising world! Her stunning visuals and popularity have made her a sought-after ambassador for numerous luxury brands. In September 2019, she made her runway debut at the 29th Tokyo Girls Collection's 2019 Autumn/Winter fashion festival! She has appeared on numerous magazine covers including Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan & Elle Korea, as well as for various top brands ie Dior, Miu Miu, Laura Mercier and golfwear brand Gospheres. At Paris Fashion Week in 2023, Lefty named Wonyoung as the 13th top influencer with her appearance generating around $3 million for Miu Miu! In 2023, she was named the muse for Korean fashion label SJSJ and the beauty brand Amuse and in 2024 she became the new model for clothing brand Rolarola, the brand ambassador for Kérastase and the the global brand ambassador for Tommy Jeans! In 2025, she became the new campaign model of Woori Bank, the brand ambassador for Vietnamese beverage company Malto, the model for Binggrae’s ice cream line, 'Deep & Low', the ambassador for Dyson Korea, the model for Downy Korea and in August 2025 she became the Global Brand Ambassador for Bvlgari starring in the Divas’ Dream campaign and on several Magazine covers including Cosmopolitan. She was also the Main Event at the Tokyo Kaleidos exhibition and at several Korean holiday pop-ups. Since Bulgari, Wonyoung has starred in Google Gemini’s holiday campaign The Christmas Song (Dec 2025), and became ambassador for Scottish cashmere house Barrie (Jan 2026)! She was also named global model for K-beauty brand Dr. Althea in March 2026 and in April 2026 she became the Miu Miu Beauty ambassador for Korea and Japan on top of her existing Miu Miu fashion role, while continuing campaigns for Tommy Jeans, Woori Bank, Amuse, Kérastase, Dyson, and others.

Wonyoung is very much into charity and on February 14, 2023, along with Ive and Starship Entertainment, donated 150 million KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association for emergency relief efforts following the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria! In March 2025, she donated with Ive another 200 million KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association to cover wildfire damages and improve the treatment of firefighters working onsite. Wonyoung was the star of the W Korea Breast Cancer gala in October 2025. In November 2025, Wonyoung with IVE sent HK$500,000 to the Hong Kong Red Cross after the Nov 2025 fires, and in Feb 2026 she personally donated another 200 million KRW to Severance Children’s Hospital and Gangnam Severance Pediatrics.

At 22, Wonyoung is stealing the spotlight on IVE’s 'SHOW WHAT I AM' world-tour, and teasing a unit with Yujin! She's the generation’s gold standard, breathtaking in all her beauty, and impossible to look away from....

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life.

This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public. 

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.
