And in turn, the video performed terrible with the algorithm. I’m hoping a fresh start will let my videos reach the correct audience. As much as it hurts to walk away, it seemed easier to start from 0
While I could continue with TikTok, YouTube was my first love. With my full-time job, I only have the man power for 1 social media platform. I tried posting on my previous YT channel but the videos I want to make now don’t resonate with the audience I built
Today I turn 28.
I have dedicated over 50% of my life to obsessing over YouTube strategy and audience growth.
100s of channels, millions of revenue, billions of views later…
Here are 28 lessons for YouTubers:
@MattMort_ Multi channels are the goal. I’m working with a team of 3-4 people so hopefully we’re able to accomplish everything. The main priority is the main channel coming out on time, if the rest happens then great. The other channels are just a way to offset costs on the main channel
@MattMort_ My production company is Vile Gate so these were the options I have so far:
LoveTheBasics
LoveTheCostumes
LoveTheCameras
LoveTheStudio
Alex Hopkins
VG Costumes
VG Cameras
VG Studio
Alex Hopkins
Layer by Layer
Frame by Frame
Day by Day
But I’m open to more suggestions
@MattMort_ So it seems like I might be starting a new channel which is very nerve wracking. But now the question would be a new name? I need 4: Main Channel, 3D Printing/ Props, Cameras/ Tutorials & Vlogs
@MattMort_ If I start a new channel it can potentially fix that. If I stay on the same channel it is an uphill battle and how many videos do I need to post to get back to normal? 2? 3? 10? I only plan on posting once a month
@MattMort_ Yea I’m very up in the air about it. I unlisted a few hundred long for videos and kept some that were decent just to have something in the recommended. I do know that my existing subscribers are hurting the video performance
