Muslims love Christians who are not deeply rooted in the Bible, Christians who know a few verses but don’t understand the context.

Why? Because that makes it easier to walk you through a whole “Islamic Bible study” using a collection of verses taken completely out of context.

This is what they will tell you👇

They will:

Quote Deuteronomy 6:5 out of context and tell you Christianity is false because “God is one” and you’re supposedly worshipping three gods.

Then they will point to Matthew 26:39, where Jesus bowed down and prayed, and say, “Look! Jesus prayed like a Muslim, therefore Jesus was a Muslim.”

Next they tell you Jesus prophesied about Muhammad, then misuse John 16:13 and claim Muhammad is the one who would “guide you into all truth.”

Then they bring out Deuteronomy 18:18 and claim, “Moses was prophesying about Muhammad!” and that the Bible actually predicted him.

They will also tell you that Jesus and Muhammad preached exactly the same message, oneness of God, and use Jesus reference to Deuteronomy 6:5 to support the argument.

Then comes the emotional part: “ See we Muslims love and respect Jesus more than Christians, He is our prophet. How could God allow His prophet to be cursed, humiliated, and painfully crucified?” They’ll tell you the Quran elevates Jesus and that Allah simply took Him to heaven.

After that, they may quote passages from Ezekiel about each person bearing their own iniquity and argue that Jesus couldn’t have died for the sins of others, therefore His death was unnecessary for the forgiveness of sins.

And finally, the grand conclusion, they will tell you that the Bible is corrupted and unreliable, which is why Allah sent the Quran to “correct” it and restore pure worship of Him alone.

If you don’t know your Bible, you are their easy target.

They will quote Scripture out of context and deceive you with confidence. Know the Word. Don’t be their soft landing.

UPDATE: For many young Igbo males, being labeled an IPOB member is literally a “kiss of death”. This photo bears young MICHAEL ONYEDIKACHI AHIZE, who was reportedly arrested in September 2022 by a combined team of DSS and the Army, and detained since then, without being charged or brought to Court.

In the words of the Good Samaritan who brought this to my attention: “When Ahize was arrested, he was first taken to the DSS (Owerri) for ‘questioning’, then moved to Tiger Base (Owerri), and later transferred to Imo State Police Command. Later, he was taken back to the DSS for further questioning at some point before being returned to the Imo State Police Command, which remains his last known location.”

Let me add this: Oftentimes, young Igbo males are arrested on flimsy grounds or set-up, and then quickly labeled IPOB to justify indefinite detention. which sometimes escalate to torture and extrajudicial killing.

It just has to stop. Ndigbo must band together and vigorously fight this persistent selective injustice. Every detainee deserves his day in Court. It’s a basic human right.
