@stephenpollard As an Englishman now living in the US I see the anger because I see the ads. What is the anger in the UK is it that the breaks are there to facilitate ads? You’re not getting them…yet. But we have had breaks for drinks in football before, but something is different now.
@henrywinter Henry, surely you see its hypocrisy. Keeper goes down stay still. Only get 5 seconds for a throw 8 for the keeper to kick it but come in guys a stoppage is ok to have when the administration say it is. They do not have the games best interest at heart.
@adamdnathan I just don’t trust the people making the deals with the networks. We know the networks want to make it more viable for them but why do we trust infantino and co to look after the game.
@AdamJoseph It’s not the breaks when they are needed or even that broadcasters are making money from them. It’s the hypocrisy of rules to speed the game up vs a mandated stop. I don’t trust the lawmakers to do things in the best interest of the game.
@Craig_Foster Isn’t it the hypocrisy of mandating a break at the same time bringing in rules to speed up the game. We’re not naive the US market does not suit football but I don’t trust the lawmakers to make decisions in best interest of the game
@AlexiLalas I know he’s a troll but it’s not just about the changes. It’s that those in charge create rules to speed up the game but then create a mandated stop, for no reason in a fully AC closed roof stadium. Fans do not trust the lawmakers to do the right thing.
@leapsandbags@USMNTBaldEagle Genuine question. Do you think it should be more like the NFL or is it just too much to sit through as being used to US sports?
Through 4 days of the #WorldCup, there has been an average of 3.16 goals per game. This would be the most since 1958.‼️
There has also yet to be a 0-0 game. Lots of action so far!
