Knowing how many people have engaged with Mickie over the years, and the tremendous kindness they have shown her (and me), I would be remiss if I did not let everyone who is interested know that she died suddenly and peacefully yesterday. It will be impossible for me to speak about it while retaining my composure, and therefore this seems the ideal forum to announce her death.

It has been devastating to me. Mickie was exceptional. She was tranquil, loving, trusting, and an exemplar of what pure love truly is. A few short hours before her death, she was gently tending to Aurora, as she often did, licking her face as she had always done ever since she gave birth to her. When it became apparent that she was fading, and doing so quickly, she left us in the gallery, walked into our bedroom, took up her favourite positon on the bed, and made herself comfortable. With hindsight, she knew she was dying and had opted to die in her favourite place.

Mickie had been diagnosed with a bad heart a few years ago, shortly after she started coughing inexplicably. Sadly, King Charles Spaniels are prove to heart disease, and while Cavaliers are less so, and I had thought she had escaped, she had not.

Thereafter she was under the care of the finest canine cardiologist in the country, Dr Gavin McAuley. His ministrations kept her as comfortable and as well as she could possibly be, though he did warn me that she might at some point make a sudden turn for the worse, which is indeed what happened.

Between ringing his practice and having him return my call, I phoned our loval vet. I cannot sing Crossways Findon and Beth Miller's praises highly enough. Knowing that I am infirm, Beth came as soon as she could. After briefly examining Mickie, she assessed her condition as terminal, and while we were discussing the best way of proceeding so that she would have as painless and peaceful a passage as possible, Mickie, who was always a study in grace and cooperativeness, gently drifted into a coma before dying. All within half an hour.

This gave me time to thank her for the ten years of perfect love that she had endowed us with, to give her the kisses, strokes and comforting which she deserved, and to be grateful to God for having made her end both painless and quick.

Mickie was truly a wonderful dog, and I count myself lucky to have had her for the length of time I did.

It is gratifying as well as amusing to see how the media are finally jumping on the bandwagon I rolled out the other day, as a result of DEMOCRATS in the US informing me on the 12th August that on the 11th the Feds had concluded that the disparities between Harry's assertions in Spare contradicted his visa application, and there was now the danger that his visa would be cancelled owing to those disparities. This would put him in danger of arrest as well as deportation, and I made the point that, if I was now privy to this information, so too had to be The King and Harry.

Meghan and Harry have got themselves into a real mess. She is LOATHED in both Republican and Democrat circles. Neither party wants to have anything to do with either of them and her overweening ambitions are viewed with even greater horror by the Democrats, who are determined that this cheap and vulgar hustler won't get a toehold politically as a result of the misguided manipulations she has exhibited eleewhere, all of which result in chaos, confusion and destruction.

Thank God the media have now interviewed Nile Gardner of the Heritage Foundation following all the claptrap the British press were running with about the move back here.

What is particularly concerning to me, as a proud Jamaican, is how the Jason Arday tragedy, which is already being unfairly expoilted under the racial banner, is slowly but surely being encroached upon to further Meghan's untrue claims of having somehow been a victim of British racism. In fact, if the Arday matter proves anything, it is that there is more pro- than anti- black racism in this country, for there is no way that a white professor or a white American duchess, who had fabulated the way those two did, would've got away with their fantastical claims for the length of time they did.

So, The King has spoken through the Lord Chamberlain. And what he has to say makes chilling hearing for Harry and Meghan. At least to those of us who understand palacespeak.

Not only does he affirm that Harry and Meghan no longer possess royal status, but he confirms that fact, for the first time, by pointing out that their HRH styles are in abeyance. Those last words 'in abeyance' are a legal term with legal significance - something which was fudged when the original Sandringham Agreement was announced. At that time, it was merely stated that they would not be using their Royal Highness styles; now, by stating that theya re in abeyance, he is asserting that they no longer have the right to do so.

Doubling down on their loss of royal status, the Lord Chamberlain emphasises that this fact by stating: In short, their position is akin to private citizens with commercial and charitable interests.

In other words, no one needs to bow or curtsy to Harry and Meghan. This is ratified with sutblety and elegance in the recommendation that those who have questions about the courtesies to which they think Harry and Meghan might be entitled, should refer to Buckingham Palace, whose guidance, off the record, will be as it was with regards to the Duchess of Windsor. No HRH, no bowing or curtsying.

How many tears left eye will Meghan shed once she and Harry realise that they've just been reduced to ordinary citizens, and any pretence to the contrary is shot down by The King's message through the Lord Chamberlain.

Can Harry and Meghan be so obtuse - or is it dumb or maybe it's just publicity-seeking cussed? - that they would object to being described as "akin to private citizens" while demanding that they be acknowledged as "public figures".

They OUGHT to know that any royal who does not perform official duties on behalf of the state is categorised as being "akin to private citizens". There is a myriad of examples, and the loss of their HRH style has nothing to do with it.

HRH Princess Beatrice, HRH Princess Eugenie are just two of the current examples of acknowledged royals not performing official duties who are, quite rightly, treated as private citizens. There is a host of other examples. For ease of reference, in the previous generation there are TRH Prince and Princess Michael fo Kent. There is even a plethora of less recent examples: HRH Princess Arthur of Connaught (who worked as a nurse calling herself Sister Marjorie for decades and would sooner have died than demanded to be treated as a public figure when she was performing in a private capacity), her sister HH Princess Maud, Countess of Southesk, their cousins TH Princesses Marie Louise and Princess Helena Victoria, none of whom demanded the special treatment that Harry and Meghan are insisting is their due, his by birth, hers by injection.

Harry and Meghan also don't seem to understand that being a public figure doesn't entitle you to more special treatment than you are supposed to receive as a non-working royal. Anyone in the public eye who is recognised by the public qualifies as a public figure. The very definition of public figure could not be clearer. It is: 'A well-known person who has fame, prominence, or a significant role in society.' That is a pretty wide catchment, and includes mayors, MPs, reality TV stars such as Katie Price, popular entertainers such as Dame Joanna Lumley and Michael McIntyre, presenters such as Dan Wootton and Piers Morgan, to royals living here such as Princess Katarina of Jugoslavia and even those who don't, such as Princess Madeleine of Sweden.

Being a private citizen who is a public figure isn't an incompatibility. It is a fact of life. And NONE of them is ENTITLED to publicly funded security.

I suppose those two hustlers think if they muddy the waters enough they won't have to resort to past tricks such as fabricating an 80mph hour car chase near Times Square in midtown Manhattan, where even ambulances with sirens blaring crawl along at 2 or 5 mph even as their passangers are in danger of dying.

Harry and Meghan's squeals are reminiscent of rutting pigs, and it's about time that they stopped offending the public with these offputting displays.

It is supremely distasteful that these swine object to the reduced status they opted for when they abandoned official royal life for money-grubbing. Their never-ending displays of distasteful and ultimately destructive antics, to which they have subjected the world for the last six years as they have made spectacles of themselves pretending on the one hand to be deprived of their entitlements while on the other hand demanding privileges to which they are no longer entitled as a result of having abandoned the duties that earned those privileges, are now frankly onerous.

Their objection to being categorised as private citizens while demanding that they be acknowledged as public figures is simply their latest attempt to qualify for enhanced security paid for, not by themselves, but by us, the taxpayer.

I don't know about you, but I am already mightily sick and tired of most of my earnings going to the state, which then dissipates taxpayers' money to the detriment of the taxpayer, instead of using it to enhance our lives and better our society as a whole.

And now we have this hoped-for money grab by that entitled and destructive couple.
