@theNatalieByrne I have truly struggled with this. They have always been very modest and far too prideful to accept help, or even ask for it. Providing things that cannot be returned: GC, paid bills, etc seem to be the way to make it stick.

I had one of the absolute worst travel experiences that I can remember in a very, very long time this week. I'm eager to get home to some very brief sense of normalcy. Longing for some softness stillness and the comforts of home, however brief they may be.

Had a very early morning flight today and booked an Uber in advance, as I usually do. Driver was super late, over 12 miles away at booked time. Cancelled, booked a taxi and saved 20% on the fare. Never had a prebooked issue like this before. Taxis are still viable out there! 🚕
