Day 40 today for our people in Oriire.
You heard right, 40 days in that dungeon disguised as bush due to the lackadaisical attitude of the government in power not to protect the lives of citizens.
No doubt the worst government in our history to turn deaf ears to the security of its citizens.
Empty promises everyday no action/result.

This is their 41st night as victims of terrorists! Little children!!! 41 Nights!!!
God!! God!! Innocent children, toddlers! Teachers! Parents! Ah!!! 😭😭😭.
Eleda, ma sun o🤲🏻😭. Olorun iye, s’aanu won! Ah!!! 😭😭😭
Is this how we have gone fatigued over the Oriire kidnapping?
I no longer see briefings or mentions from the government. Everyday is too long.

Today, I confirmed that all of us who paid for Drivers’ licenses renewal in April 2024 may never get our plastic cards until the payment expires. It’s been two years since I paid, yet mine is still not ready as confirmed by their officers at the collection point.
The implication with @FRSCNigeria is that I will have to go everywhere I’m driving to with a stamped slip until it expires in 2029. FRSC officers on the road always reject my attempt to show them the slip on my phone.
There is no official explanation from the government or FRSC for what happened to the payments we made in April 2024, and why they have not been able to produce our plastic Drivers’ licenses.
I don’t even know how to conclude this tweet.
Another day in the forest for these victims #RescueOrire now.
Oh...the trauma (for them and their families).
Oh...those young kids and women! 💔
The Life of all Nigerian matters.
Dear @dikko_radda
I am a doctor working with the state government, I am in dire need of a house I can call mine. Please, consider me ahead of the bandits.
Thank you 🙏🏽
As this might not be the reality of all Fathers, it's the experience of many fathers. Giving your best at work even when it's difficult, get paid and also give your best to your family is where the real work is.
Responsible fathers deserve all the praise they can get.
Father's Day
During my service year at Dangote Cement Plant, Obajana many years ago, I worked closely with technicians and artisans. There was this man fondly called Baba Morufu. His daughter called from school to ask for money from different things running to hundreds of .....
That particular day, the man looked nothing close to anyone might want to call a father, if met him on the road, I'd mistake him for a mentally unstable man.
Then in alot started running through my mind, at the same time feeling for the old man.
This is now Day 35 of these children and teachers in captivity of terrorists!
What is the fate of these children and teachers even after release?
The level of damage being done to their minds and bodies in captivity is unimaginable!!! We cannot just be counting days!! Noo!! 😭😭😭
Do we retire so early in Nigeria or Oyinbo retire so late, apart from Academics position, retirement age is largely 60 years, it’s already 65 here & they’re proposing to increase to 67, even after retirement, Oyinbo will still find other private jobs to apply & work.
If it’s the will of Allah to live long, I’ll never work for a day after age 60.
Perhaps a Non executive director or Board positions but surely nothing that’ll demand my intellectual disposition.
Plan:
Age 60, retire to Igboora, “eating my pension in foreign currency” Olori ebi & be solving communal conflict, tell me a better way to retire.
I love the humility to which long annual leave does to people (myself inclusive).
I’ve been away for four weeks, work continues excellently, nothing is on hold, backups did the job efficiently even though it’ll surely mean more workload for them anyway.
But yeah, I love the reality it brings to conscious mind, everyone & anyone is replaceable. Be humble! No one is indispensable, the organization will always be fine.
