Overnight, Russia launched an attack on Ukrainian energy facilities, damaging power generation, transmission and distribution systems in various regions, including Ukraine's largest hydroelectric power plant, the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant in Zaporizhzhia.

Many towns and cities were partially or completely cut off from electricity.

Seems that Russians not had enough of the terrible disaster at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant last year.

Ukraine needs weapons and air defense against Russian terrorism and genocide.

I've talked to a few European donors this week and the common misconception is that they don't want to help the military as it's somehow against "values" - war is terrible thus the army is terrible either, and so on. Which, I believe, is the result of the late 20th-century war perception.

But our war is different. It's civilians who fight to defend our country - it's musicians, architects, and historians who took weapons. They are not soldiers in a way a lot of Europeans see them. And that's why helping the Ukrainian army means that all those civilians will be saved and return to their peaceful life as soon as the war has ended.

Today, I attended a counter-rally against the organization @brooklyn4peace

They are urging people to sign a petition to stop the arms supply to Ukraine and promote a peaceful, diplomatic agreement between Ukraine and russia.

My main counter-arguments were:

• Ukraine has already attempted a peaceful agreement with russia, and as we can see the results.
• President Zelensky has stated that nobody will negotiate with Putin, and the Ukrainian people support this stance.
• Halting the supply of weapons would leave peaceful civilians unprotected. Genocide continues.
• Being against American imperialism is not a reason to support russian.
• Ask Ukrainians!
