🧟♂️🪦 Logo graveyard
While designing a logo mark for Caring, we went through a lot of options. I lock myself up in my office and explore every possibility, nook, and cranny for the emblem. The discarded drafts aren’t necessarily bad ideas; they just didn’t make the cut. Any favs?
Raise your hand if you're ready to see the final episode of “The 1st & 15th”, A @thesocialstatus Story 👀
For now, just feel some of the vibes from October's live screening in case you weren't able to join us in person!
By the time you saw the post, I’ve powered through PLENTY 😮💨
I love creating content. Because I’m not creating content; it’s my REAL LIFE! lol 😂 I remember praying and asking God, if He chose to bless me to fulfill my BIGGEST and WILDEST dreams, I’ll share the REAL. I want you to know through every hardship - YOU WILL PREVAIL.
This app has a funny way of speeding things up 😂 lol from the process, to the growth, the sacrifices and the battles we win behind closed doors. No one knows. It’s A LOT sometimes; but, we always push through.
Familia, push through. It’s not in vain. You will come out on the other side. Just promise when you do, don’t glamorize your process - tell the REAL. People are looking for it. BE REAL. It works 😉
Happy Monday, good people! The question of the day: what are you doing to prepare for the place you’re headed? Do your efforts match your hopes and desires?
The year is 2018.
I quit my full-time job to be a barista.
Everyone thought I was crazy 😂
I’d craft lattes by day.
Then emcee special events by night.
I would even change clothes at work 😂
That’s how bad I wanted it.
The year is 2023…it’s all paying off 🥹
Trust the process.
“She’d rather be Ohavia,” 🥹 Thank you to The Charlotte Observer and the impeccable writer, Theoden. READ THE FULL STORY HERE: https://t.co/G7OJ1Y86xd
Celebrating my fifth year (and counting) in business and over 11 years (and counting) in media, I’ve grown to learn a lot.
Mainly around this idea of BEING who YOU REALLY are, so you can BECOME who you’re ordained to be. 👀
As a little girl, I did not have many examples of opulent, powerful black women in media. We only had one. And I know you can guess who I’m talking about - Ms. Oprah Winfrey.
Now, as I am 31 in media, we have a range of options, yet still a short list of black women breaking the glass ceilings in the industry. I’m talking OWNERSHIP, life-changing-status-quo-shifting- collaborations, I’m talking equity in the business, REAL MEDIA MOGUL MOVES. This is where my prayers, my work ethic and heart’s desire are ON A DAILY.
For me, media saved my life and it also helped me to become. I’m grateful God chose me for this industry. I found a home for all of this ethereal energy lol while being blessed with the opportunity to moderate the most powerful conversations. I’m grateful.
God is doing so many of HIS big ones for me. 🥹 I cry happy tears every other day. God has ordained me to be Ohavia. And I’m going to do it up. With so much power, opulence, wealth and generational curse breaking excellence.
I’d rather be OHAVIA 🥹💐
