What’s more Berkeley than a Grateful Dead show 👀🌈
On this day in 1982, the Grateful Dead rocked the Berkeley hills on night two of a three-show run. The Dead played twenty-nine shows at the Greek Theater between 1967 and 1989. Acoustics at the theater were excellent, with sound enveloping the audience off the dome-shaped walls, making tracks like “Space,” “Not Fade Away,” and “U.S. Blues” louder and more impactful. After three nights of jamming, everyone was sent home with a neat “Brokedown Palace” before their 1983 return.

For those “that were there,” were you really? 👀
The famous Cornell show “occurred” on this day in 1977. Known for its stellar renditions of “Scarlet Begonias,” “Morning Dew,” and “Fire on the Mountain,” this alleged show has been a Dead Head favorite for decades. Partly for its mystique, wholly for its epic jams.

I have been equally moved emotionally with songs recorded to 4 tracks as I have to songs recorded to 48 tracks. The song and the performance are what is important. #music#producer#musicproducer#songwriter
