#WATCH | Jammu | On Pakistan Defence Minister reportedly backing Congress-NC alliance's stand on Article 370, AICC in-charge for Jammu & Kashmir, Bharat Solanki says, "...I think Pakistan and its Defence Minister should understand that they were taught a lesson by Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indira Gandhi in 1965 and 1971 respectively, that stay in your limits...As far as the discussions on NC and PDP are concerned, I would like to ask the PM and BJP, did you not form a Government with them in the past? Those governments worked...Our political agenda is ours, of Congress'. We stand by our manifesto. Our alliance with NC is for elections. After elections, our government will work on common minimum programme..."

He says, "PM has to come to J&K again and again. The entire BJP is nervous. Issues of J&K - inflation, unemployment, exploitation and militancy, entire J&K, country and the world know it. The reason behind all of this is the BJP government in the last 10 years & the J&K administration. They stripped off the statehood and made it a UT...They say that they will restore it, but why did you snatch it away? They have no answer to this...Terrorism increased in Jammu too. PM did not say even a word of assurance for the families of the jawans who sacrificed their lives. He spoke about poll issues because they want to gain power here. BJP wants to exploit J&K. That is why, he is at it...Had BJP Govt wanted, it could have restored the statehood even before elections and then held the polls..."
