Do #birds learn to fly, and how ? 🤔
@RuauxG (first paper!), S. Lumineau and I tried to synthesize 100+ papers on the subject. Our review is out in @RSocPublishing Proceedings B https://t.co/OfoAfM9tCf
Save yourself some reading time! 😏

Also, the intensity of the response varied with subjects’
age in a context-dependent way, supporting a possible role of learning. The capacity to “converse” might have been a key step in the co-evolution of
communication and complex sociality! 2/2
I'm really happy to present you my first first-author article published today in @SciReports:
"Breaking conversational rules matters to captive gorillas: a playback experiment"
available here https://t.co/2qyFehSMp1
Enjoy!
Using playback experiment, we have shown that the respect of inter-call delay during vocal exchanges matters to gorillas, but the importance of the social basis (interlocutors’ age proximity) appeared less clear. 1/2
