Call of Duty creator Vince Zampella died in a car accident Sunday in Los Angeles at the age of 55.

He was the head of studios that brought players Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Titanfall 2, Battlefield 6 and led the design of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

@PlayXDefiant There was too much pressure for this to be a COD-Killer.
It’s clear that people want something different but this wasn’t enough. Just having no SBMM is not gonna cut it.

COD has such a tight grip on the FPS genre that unfortunately they no longer need to innovate.
