@225WinnipegAve@michellecyca Having read a lot of her work, I think it's pretty clear she does not read as feminist nor does she try to be. And that is part of what makes her work so fascinating. If anything, knowing that she was a horrible person makes her writing even more interesting. Sad but true.
@michellecyca The fact that she was a horrible mother checks out, but it doesn't make her stories any less genius. all her characters contain fatal flaws. not surprised she did as well. Her skill was portraying families' messiness so authentically. Why would her family be any different?
I am happy to share that the radio plays for the NAC English Theatre's Irresistible Neighborhoods project have been released!

(1/3) Twitter’s own policy defines government-funded media as cases where the government “may have varying degrees of government involvement over editorial content,” which is clearly not the case with CBC/Radio-Canada.

Alex Polowin represented the best of our country. Selfless, brave, optimistic & kind. He was one of our most active WWII Veterans and whether he shared stories with monarchs or school children he did it with grace and a sparkle in his eye. Rest Easy Alex.

Happy Pride Month! Everyone should have the right to have full agency and bodily autonomy over all matters related to their sexuality, gender, and reproduction. 2SLGBTQIA+ rights = human rights!
Happy #WorldTurtleDay! 🐢
When you see turtles on the road this season, slow down or help them across. It is important to know when a turtle needs help and when it does not. #HelpTheTurtles: https://t.co/pORJ2kbHY9
