$ARB - Arbitrum Short Term Incentive Program (STIP). 50m ARB to be allocated to protocols in the ecosystem. This could act as a large ecosystem boost by attracting significant liquidity.
(The first Optimism grant was 42m $OP. In the distribution period of this grant, the TVL grew from $300m to $1b+)

$SOL - Growing DeFi ecosystem and a very strong/vocal community. Solana has established itself as more than just another L1 as it has significant scaling benefits with product market fit. E.g @EclipseFND building an Ethereum L2 with the Solana VM.

$RDNT - Launching on Ethereum mainnet tomorrow. Already leading lending/borrowing market on Arbitrum. Expecting TVL to rise from the cross chain expansion. Further: Arbitrum STIP proposal to receive 3.36m ARB aimed at ecosystem growth.

$RLB - token with a $400m FDV and $494m in 30d annualized revenue. Much of this revenue is used to buy and burn $RLB as well as no token inflation. One of few crypto products that has PMF outside of crypto.

$DYDX - V4 coming this month. Despite no new features to current version, dYdX does 50%+ of all on-chain futures volume every single day. V4 introduces $DYDX revenue sharing amongst many other things. Only headwind is the large unlock starting in December.

$PENDLE - Only DeFi protocol that keeps hitting ATH in TVL no matter the market movements. Great product with sustainable economics and a team that works 24h/day. Recent RWA integration has further been a large success.

$MKR - Annualized revenue keeps growing as long as the DAI supply keeps growing (which seems to be the case as long as the sDAI vault pays out 5% APY). Many catalysts and flywheels next year with the launch of subDAOs amongst other things (see previous post on my profile).

$GMX - 14m ARB grant. 6m to be used for trading incentives. 6m for liquidity incentives. 2m for protocol integrations. Arbitrum would not be where it is today without GMX, so I think it's likely they get approved for a large grant. Pretty major catalyst that could attract a lot of liquidity and users which no doubt will have an effect on $GMX.

$FXS - FXS has underperformed the market recently partially because of a bleeding $FRAX supply. FRAXV3 will introduce RWA collateral and yield distribution which is a major catalyst and going live soon. There is further a $FXS buyback at $5 and $4 so unless the market nukes, the downside is pretty limited imo.

$SNX - Synthetix V3 coming closer. It seems an expansion to Base is coming soon with ETH as the collateral asset against synthetic debt. Could be a catalyst for SNX.

Weekly Token + Narrative Watchlist 🔎

With the market heating up, let's dive into some of the most interesting altcoin plays this week.👇

$ETH: Responding strongly to the ETH futures ETF approvals. ETH/BTC rallied aggressively last week but has now pulled back as BTC leads the rally. As the "leader" of the alts, it's always important to monitor its chart. But with talk of a sustained altcoin rally, it's critically important that ETH maintains its strength.

$SOL: SOL exploded yesterday and was a top performer of the weekend. From the data, it looks like a massive player (who was heavily short) was wiped out on the move, as 10% of all OI was taken in one sweep. The FTX FUD actually marked the local bottom, and there has been no concrete selling by Galaxy as of yet. My plan hasn't changed (add spot on major pullbacks).

$RDNT: I have been publicly bullish on RNDT for weeks, trying to play the LayerZero airdrop narrative (alongside $STG). So far, so good. Their mainnet launch is on October 3rd, which makes me slightly wary of a "sell the news" event given the recent aggressive upside expansion. Still bullish medium-long term, but will offload some spot to take advantage of the recent rally. If this BTC rally doesn't sustain, I might even look at hedging short on perps, but we're not there yet.

$LINK: Really interesting one, with shorters getting wiped as the token continues to rip into the SmartCon conference, which started today. As I mentioned last week, I am still expecting a “sell the news” event, which has been the typical response for LINK into SmartCon. It is also at major resistance, which it has rejected multiple times - and continues to be stuck in a 500+ day range. Might be a decent short into that resistance with clear invalidation.

$ATOM: Cosmoverse, Cosmos' largest conference of the year, also starts today. Unlike LINK, I feel as if there is no hype for this one (the chart says it all). So if anything, I'd be looking at taking the adverse approach here. Keeping my eye on the Cosmos ecosystem in case any major news breaks.

$DYDX: DYDX has multiple speakers at Cosmoverse and has been teasing V4 for a while now. Could we get some news? Remember, DYDX has their massive unlock in December, which they delayed for a year towards the end of last year. Usually, we see projects try to pump the price heading into a major unlock - but this one is special as it will almost double the circulating supply of DYDX. One of the most curious cases in crypto. One I'm monitoring closely.

$GMX/ $GNS: I'm not sure if this weekend's volatility sustains. But if it does, there aren't many better-positioned protocols than the exchanges to benefit. Volume has been so low, revenues are down across the board. But if this turns, expect a repricing.

$LOOKS: LooksRare has officially revised its token economics. They will now allocate 50% of their platform fees to buy back LOOKS from the market. Another 10% will be designated as LooksRare protocol incentives, while the remaining 40% will be directed to the treasury. This also signifies the cessation of farming rewards. The chart looks bad, but there's upside here. One on my list if the market continues its upwards trajectory.

Weekly Token + Narrative Watchlist 🔎

It's going to be a big week. Here's what I'm watching.👇

$BTC: It's important to keep an eye on BTC this week, as it's sitting on key support at $25k. This was the primary level that initiated the BlackRock-fuelled rally to 31.5k. With CPI + PPI this week, expecting more volatility. Additionally, Gox + Silk Road #Bitcoin overhang continues to loom (especially the latter, which could happen any week now). All eyes on how BTC reacts to this $25k level.

$SOL: On Wednesday, FTX will likely get approval to liquidate their $3.4b worth of crypto, over $1b of which is SOL. However, despite how bearish this seems - remember that the majority of SOL is locked (vesting until 2028). And for the liquid SOL, Galaxy is incentivised to sell for the best possible price (which implies OTCs + gradual selling). For those reasons, it may end up being a "sell the rumour, buy the news" event, whereby the beginning of material FTX selling actually marks the bottom.

$DYDX: Big unlock on Dec 1st. However, DYDX are the experts at timing bullish news pre major unlocks. Fundamentally, what DYDX is trying to do is novel + ambitious, and could pay off. It's at the top of my watchlist, with V4 also coming soon. However, sell pressure will still be undeniably high, so it will take a strong announcement to offset immediate selling.

$DOT: There’s almost a “hidden” DOT unlock coming. Back in Dec 2021, DOT held first parachain crowdloans. Projects collected a total of $400m in DOT. Back then, it was trading at $25, now it's $4. In late October, users will receive their previously locked DOT. No one is really talking about this, as the SOL FTX 'unlocks' are way more topical. Expecting DOT to bleed, and could be a solid medium term short hedge.

$UNIBOT: All token holders eligible for revenue sharing will receive 2% of the UNIBOT trading, starting Friday. $BANANA's launch was a disaster, which will likely shift attention back to Unibot. Fundamentally, it's a useful product, and one that has had relatively sticky metrics, which is a good sign.

$FXS: One of the few tokens with a strong short-medium term upcoming narrative. Two major updates on the protocol are expected soon. Frax V3: Bringing treasuries and RWA on-chain, boosting protocol yields and stablecoin demand. And frxETH V2: A lending market for frxETH, increasing LSD efficiency and yields. Also at the top of my watchlist.
