11 years ago today I was brought back to life from an overdose. This date carries just as much significance as my 11 years of sobriety date (March 18) because without the intervention at the supervised consumption site I wouldn't be sober, I'd be dead. Since that day my life has changed and here are some accomplishments I am proud of...

•Completed treatment
•Got my IDs/bank account back
•Got employment at a treatment centre
•Got married
•Became a father of 3
•Paid off every debt
•Bought a house
•Career change to a health authority
•Became a published writer
•Did two TEDx Talks
•Started speaking in schools
•Became an International Public Speaker

Not too shabby for a guy who people said would never get out of the back alley in the DTES. Never, and I mean NEVER, give up on someone and whatever you do, don't give up on yourself. You are worth it! #inspirational 💪🏼💪🏼

Ugh! The entire world is using cellphones! How are our kids going to learn to navigate how cell phones can help or harm! Teach the kids how to protect themselves! Teach the kids how to use the cellphone for good!
