As responses to health emergencies are being discussed in MC12, I’m happy to announce that my paper, Navigating International Services Trade During Health Emergencies: A Scientific Approach to Emergency Measures, is published on ORIL, https://t.co/jX1E1xzIvx.

In 3 yrs this #solar installation at a high school in Arkansas turned the district budget from a $250K deficit to a $1.8 million surplus. They're using the surplus to pay teachers more.

@POTUS It will be a victory for no one if there is no emergency action to prevent a second Chernobyl disaster. They only have 48 hours of back up power left and it will eventually lead to a meltdown. We can't wait for a last-minute miracle. https://t.co/GB7qsxJFXG
I don't care who you are or what you believe. It is not okay for an adult to bully a group of young kids. @GovRonDeSantis you need to be more respectful.
NEW: @GovRonDeSantis annoyed with USF students—
"You do not have to wear those masks. Please take them off. Honestly, it's not doing anything. We've gotta stop with this Covid theater. So if you wanna wear it, fine, but this is ridiculous."

As current events make all too clear, our reliance on fossil fuels makes the global economy & our energy security vulnerable to geopolitical crises.
Instead of slowing down decarbonization, now is the time to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy future.
An admirable censure of Russia, but with some problematic elements. African nations did indeed have greatness before colonization. And arbitrary borders have only caused problems in many parts of the world. https://t.co/2uXL1NEsPr
@DuPont_News @Water Whoever is monitoring this account should watch "The Devil We Know." I lost a lot of sleep knowing that every child born into this world is going to be contaminated by PFAS. You should not enable this company.
@snlester As a TRIPS waiver becomes increasingly unlikely, western governments should declare their own temporary suspension of domestic COVID vaccine patents to facilitate technology transfer, as COVID is a recognized national security and public health threat in those countries too.
@snlester I see what you mean. But perhaps pharmaceutical companies will encourage WTO action later? They are powerful MNEs--retaliation is possible. Yes, Article 73 could be invoked but it would take time. Overall, TRIPS seems clumsy when faced with a global airborne pandemic.
@dbambauer I think they may be confused. When N95s are necessary to protect employees in the workplace, employers have to implement comprehensive standards and fit-testing under OSHA. But for employees in a less-dangerous field, there's no such requirement (or cause of action...)
