Excited to share our latest publication in Retinal Cases & Brief Reports.
We report successful closure of a chronic full-thickness macular hole after PPV/ILM peel performed 2 years after presentation, with BCVA improving from 20/80 → 20/40 after failed topical therapy.
Grateful to have contributed to this newly published study on Staphylococcus warneri endophthalmitis.
Among 8 culture-proven cases:
🔹100% vancomycin susceptibility
🔹Most followed injection or surgery
🔹86% ultimately required vitrectomy

Thankful for the opportunity to contribute to this analysis of long-term outcomes of scleral-sutured IOL fixation. Over extended follow-up, Gore-Tex and Prolene sutures showed comparable safety and durability, supporting both as reliable options for secondary IOL implantation.

Key findings:
• Fishhooks → highest risk of open-globe injury
• Majority managed outpatient with intraocular antibiotics
• No cases of postoperative endophthalmitis
