@CharlotteKupsh Ultimately, I tell my students they are adults and are paying in some way or another to take the class. Leaning on how useful it will be and reminding them of policies in future classes might be is helping a lot. I'm not here to police them. I'd rather focus on giving feedback.
@CharlotteKupsh Usually bringing up their intro letter to me helps me make my point. I haven't seen anything that looks like AI writing in that first letter assignment.
@CharlotteKupsh I am currently teaching five sections of Comp I and one section of College Reading and Writing. Each class has about 18-21 students in them. I've had this conversation twice this semester so far and both ended positively.
