Wilson served on the THSCA Board of Directors from 2016 until 2019, was a two-time Houston Texan Coach of the Year and was named Texas High School Sports Writers Coach of the Year in 2007.
Not only was Wilson the first African American coach at three schools, he was the first African American coach in the history of each of the respective districts.
Truly a legacy of greatness after 33 years in coaching and education.
