@_utilitysports@marksplainitall What's funny is the Twolves had more than double the positive net rating with Naz at the 5 with the rest of the starting lineup as opposed to the normal starting lineup with Gobert.
The offensive difference is insane. You're acting like Naz was a liability or something lol
@_utilitysports@marksplainitall Funny you cut the screenshot off to not show that 105.5 defense rating when they played together.
They played together almost as much as just Reid.
That was really effective against certain lineups.
Who's replacing Reid and Randle? Outside of Ayo, who are you codifident it?
@ofreacharound Food manufacturing plants use glycol to lower the temp of liquid products to their desired fill temp. It's pretty effective.
Can drop the temp from over 200ยฐ in the tank to 100ยฐ at the filler.
@DrewBobC@Aaron_Torres They were about to have to pay him a lot. Better to move him now and free up cap space and load up on picks. They've still got a good young core. So they're in position to craft a decent team.
@CanesClt@_utilitysports Haha it could be good for Melo long term if he embraces being the #2 and develops off ball. But I could see that being hard for him to give up the ball.
Probably why the Hornets were fine moving him. He's great, but you're probably not going all the way with him as your 1.
@Carrynor8o@_utilitysports Because they don't have a lot of picks to trade for another solid piece. They turned Randle and Reid into Melo and a rookie whilst giving up picks.
Still probably in the second tier of teams behind the Thunder and Spurs.
@Drivethelane21@_utilitysports True, but you can sometimes find good depth pieces in the 2nd round.
But more importantly they don't have them to make any other trades with.
@_utilitysports That may be true, and yet they'll still likely be worse defensively with Melo starting. It's not particularly a bad trade for the Wolves, but they gave up picks probably aren't gonna be any closer to the Thunder and the Spurs.
@sdskol1983@_utilitysports Lol not surprising coming from a Wolves fan. I don't think it's a bad trade for the Wolves but it's not getting them any closer to the Thunder or Spurs.
