Our hearts go out to the family and friends of O’Shea Sibley, a young Black queer man who was taken from us for having the audacity to dance and celebrate his truth in public.
To be Black and queer is to choose ourselves even when it puts us at risk, to choose love even when it makes us an enemy of the state, to dance even in the face of violence.
We must be bold in our demands for justice for O’Shea Sibley and Black queer and trans folks experiencing violence everywhere. SAY HIS NAME.
