The best player on a team isn’t always the player who scores the most. Sometimes it’s the player who has a high IQ or a diverse/versatile skill set or a player who is unselfish & coachable or who knows their role inside & out. Basing “good” only on points scored is a big mistake!
You are so very fortunate to be involved in sports, but one day that will end & the questions that will follow you forever are:
Did I give real, sincere effort?
Was I always a good teammate?
Was I coachable?
Was I thankful or a complainer?
Was it an opportunity or an obligation?
Players: Tough conditioning usually reveals a few types of players:
-All of a sudden hurt at that time
-Out of shape & struggling
-In shape & concerned about yourself
-In shape & encouraging others
-In shape & doing extra sprints with others
Which player & teammate are you?!
