This is the rare kind of ectopic pregnancy I had a couple of years ago. It ruptured with internal bleeding. I would have died if I didn’t live 5 minutes from a hospital. Reproductive healthcare is essential and the reason why I’m here for my partner, children, and community.
@samueljrob He also helped design and construct parking garages in Ann Arbor, and supported opposition against NIMBY driven local proposals. Adrian is the best of us.
Please vote YES on Washtenaw County’s senior millage. This will provide annual funding for Meals on Wheels and wraparound services for seniors living below poverty level in very urban and rural areas. Medicare does NOT cover all essential needs! https://t.co/X0Fc6T0Poa
This is an amazing crisis #mentalhealth service for residents of Michigan’s most populous county. Available to anyone regardless of insurance coverage or status. Spread the word!
A lovely surprise with heartfelt thanks to @ACLUofMichigan for the nomination, with support from @space_garrett, @jfsannarbor, and @MMLFoundation. Here’s to making sure philanthropy is responsive, timely, and justice forward.
Congratulations to Linh Song on being awarded the Spirit of Philanthropy Award for the 2024 National Philanthropy Day. Linh is one of the honorees we’re celebrating at our NPD Dinner on Nov. 13 at The Henry Ford.

Drove 2.5 hours to Holland to see SEPARATED, the doc by @errolmorris & @jacobsoboroff, because the summer of 2018 was one of the most influential of my life as a Latino, a Texan, and a public health professional. Longer review coming, but I want to share some initial thoughts.
An important reminder from Rep. @DebDingell: Vote for Supreme Court (Kyra & Kim) and local judges (Jinan & Kerene), and on #AnnArbor City Proposals, keep it simple: Vote YES-YES-NO-NO!
#A2Council
@DAnalogArsonist Do you have an issue with Democrats being a majority in local elections? Democrats who are helping keep majority in the Legislature and who committed to overturning Right to Work? Only Republicans complain about labor funding and involvement.
Local noise about labor helping with #a2council campaigns as if it’s a negative when it’s a point of pride and an honor to accept support. Not just the check, but 3 burly dudes in my campaign shirts doorknocking during the pandemic was amazing. Note labor hours in the memo.
Halloween 2024 called for the Blue Wall and opposing local propositions led by NIMBYs and former #a2council members who think racial diversity is “just looks.” And with over 400 trick-or-treaters, our house passed the walkable neighborhood test.
To get a housing crisis as bad as this, you need crazy things to happen, like the regional chief administrative officer believing that development fees do not increase housing prices.
Why is this view so common among city planners?

@sestrongman There are election workers and volunteers inside you can speak to about this. Earlier today they walked electeds who are on the ballot back beyond the line.
I’m the last retiree standing on #a2council. CMs work full time jobs, Council, and part-time jobs to afford to live in Ann Arbor. I honor our YIMBY Council and service orgs addressing housing needs by donating my salary: WHA, CAN, @jfsannarbor, & @geo3550. Adding @SOS_Community.
SOS takes calls as 8-10 families enter homelessness each week in our County. Every CM knows agency directors, advocates for funding, and volunteers with local nonprofits before and after elections. Progressive action, not talk. Party values, not cynicism. https://t.co/Abadxvq8kG
