@uzmabarlaskar Easier searching. It’s inconsistent between desktop and mobile, and it’s difficult to look up by poster (e.g. “Alice said something really interesting in the group chat a few days ago, what was it?”)
@zack@chavastar@chrisarvinsf@humantransit Again I think I mostly agree (including your point about good, frequent coverage being positive for equity overall) but the MTA board has to listen to dozens of sympathetic disabled/elderly folks who justifiably don't want to go 2-3 blocks (often uphill) to catch their bus
@zack@chavastar@chrisarvinsf@humantransit Ok I think I broadly agree but the coverage vs ridership trade-off is real and politically painful (and I do empathize with some, albeit not all, of the equity concerns of dropping coverage)
@alex_hallowell I'm probably preaching to the choir, but a lot of the public/press doesn't care which agency gets them from A to B as long as they get there. Too many Bay Area operators focus on their agency in isolation.
@zack@chavastar@chrisarvinsf@humantransit ...in the long run I think the solution to cheap, quality, reliable transit is automation: if you don't need to pay a driver for every service hour, then you can have it arrive every 5 min all day. It will likely take a long time to get unions on board with this.
@JaniceForBART Thank you for this thread and all that you have done/continue to do in this space. What about train automation to help improve service while lowering opex per rider? We could have BART trains every 5 min at every station including on Sundays...
@SFTRU Frequent transit (every ≤5 minutes) with more subways & transit preemption on the surface. Meanwhile, charge private vehicles for the space they take up (congestion & parking). Plus can't hurt if it's cheap (maybe it comes "for free" w/ other city services like a cable bundle?)
@_wayneburkett @RichmondProgre1@ColinEHunter Most developers want to sell/lease their units for the most $ they can, so certainly they will all market as "luxury" if they can. I agree with Colin that these "luxury" developments will/can attract rich people so they won't buy/lease in gentrifying areas & cause displacement

@graue@sfmta_muni 🤦♂️ the MTA should be required to run any plan that includes "sharrows" by @jeffreytumlin for his explicit approval, explaining why they must trade off safety for some other concern
@UnderdogsTres Doordash shows you as "Unavailable - temporarily closed" when I go to https://t.co/J9NRqM9eFQ ...is there some other way to order? Nobody picks up your phone & https://t.co/lIb0DyvW5q Order Online also says "Online ordering is currently not available..."
@RichmondProgre1 @_wayneburkett NYC, like most American cities, has also chronically under-built in the last several decades. You have to look at places like Tokyo to see how building a lot of housing can decrease prices.
@ghotihead2001 There could potentially be some locally prescribed/controlled burns around the region. Otherwise mostly higher surface pressure leaving stagnant air around the area. Surface winds are light, with onshore aloft. For all other air quality questions, we defer to @AirDistrict
