Ellen DeGeneres flips Montecito estate for $33M https://t.co/kFnHHqgOFB
I hope she pays her fair share in taxes. Let take 70% of that money to fund our schools and social programs. Leave her a nice round $10M.
Liability: Do the math, $86B + $91B == $177B

Tax revenues: $137B

The pension deficit is 129% of revenues. This is the real cause of our state problems.
In CA, districts statewide paid $2.8 billion in 2013-14 to CalSTRS and CalPERS.
In 2018 those costs had nearly doubled, with pension expenses consumed about 8 percent of K-12 districts' budgets.
In 2020 it has risen to an estimated 11 percent of budgets.
Actuaries estimate that the state has only $874.3 million in assets for a liability of $86.5 billion—meaning the state has an unfunded retiree health liability of $85.6 billion.
Between the two pension systems, the state’s pension unfunded liabilities are estimated to total $93.1 billion ($59.7 billion at CalPERS for state employee pensions and $33.4 billion at CalSTRS for teachers’ pensions).
@rolandlisf districts statewide paid $2.8 billion in 2013-14 to CalSTRS and CalPERS. In 2018 those costs nearly doubled. Pension expenses consumed about 8 percent of K-12 districts' budgets in 2017-18 and will rise to an estimated 11 percent in 2020-21
$11 Billions to cover the pensions.
@sfchronicle@rolandlisf If one looks at the higher education statistics about sex diversity, one would see that more women get degrees than men. Would affirmative action mean that men would get help to close the gap?
@rolandlisf@ChaseDiFelice The Unions are against big tech and will do anything in their power to destroy them. big tech has done more toward job creation that the nation wide unions have.
Unions are at the root of our state and city problems, having forced on the general public a large burden of spending.
@rolandlisf why are major labor unions so intent on undoing parts of Prop. 13 for years. It looks to me that labor unions are more interested in filling up their coffers with more $$ than in the interest of the non unionized population.
It is time to prohibit labor unions from politics.
@yanirep20@OversightDems@ATrumpest Why is asking for lawful investigation synonymous with despotism? One could argue that not wanting to allow the rule of law to take its course but instead to try to resolve issues in the court of public opinions is closer to anarchy and could lead us to despotism.
@AleaHuggins @OversightDems if it has HER rather than HIS, and it was not about the election but about some acts committed 30 years ago, would that make it ok?
@timothyj9090@thelidlives@OversightDems@JProskowGlobal Why would being a supporter of President Trump automatically imply that one would not see anything wrong with lying. The statement is divisive and borderline offending. At a minimum it is micro triggering.
@OversightDems why is the NY post reporting that the person in question did not recant?
Why is this person not under the whistleblower protection?
At least twitter should have a hash tag on this post as possibly wrong.

@sfzombie13@MarkDice@OversightDems why isn't twitter flagging this post as possibly incorrect.
the person in question is saying that they did not recant.

@IkeaClark it has nothing to do with not supporting you, this is about supporting someone else. why should your gender identification choice stop others from being able to support someone that they feel deserve it.
