See different eras of the #RiverClyde together in Glasgow as the PS Waverley sails past the site of the @GlasgowCityDeal Govan - Partick Bridge (opening later this year), the Tall Ship Glenlee and the Riverside Museum by watching the video below 👇
Well @on_lothianbuses these new screens are a bit useless and misleading aren’t they? Screen and app screenshot simultaneously tonight. Anyone waiting for the 11 or 5 would give up if only using the screens.
Some of the team @The_Tall_Ship have arrived in Liverpool for the UK Maritime Heritage Conference! Looking forward to the next few days ahead and sharing our projects with others #UKMHF23
Great to see our replica work on permanent display at the newly opened @kilmartinmuseum in Argyll, Scotland. Below 2 of 3 digitally carved stones are shown, either side of a cased, real bronze age stone. Thanks to @ltclarkuk for these pics & for commissioning us. Scans from @HistEnvScot & @NtlMuseumsScot.
A 1st for ThinkSee3D. These ~5000 year old carvings from Dunchraigaig Cairn in the ancient Kilmartin Glen were only discovered in 2021. We've replicated them in real stone using digital carving (CNC not 3D printing), from an @HistEnvScot 3D scan. For the new Kilmartin Museum.
Our replica Dunchraigaig 'deer' stone looked magnificent yesterday evening in the raking workshop light. Magical to be the first to see this ancient art upright & fully visible after ~5000 years. Soon to be sent 460 miles from West #Oxfordshire to @kilmartinmuseum.
Another bronze-age replica we've made for @kilmartinmuseum is a cist stone from the Ri Cruin cairn showing a bronze halberd with ribbons on the haft. The original was lost in a fire in 1908 so this is from a 3D scan of a plaster cast held in @NtlMuseumsScot Now in stone again!
Presenting our final replica for the @kilmartinmuseum - a 1.6m tall, 80% scaled model of the bronze-age Torbhlaren 4 Stone with cup marks. Produced from our own 3D scan using a new production method. Looks/feels like real stone but weighs 60kg. A stone this size would be 300kg!
@TamsinRussell I like it. Young kids are not prioritised at S Ken and that’s ok. I quite like the more adult vibe. But I can see why the organisation would like to centre them in another venue.
We are happy to share the news that the first phase of Prestonpans Civic Square has been shortlisted in both the Regeneration and Public Realm Categories at this years Scottish Design Awards! #EastLothian#Design#Scotland
