Johannesburg at a Crossroads: Truth Demands Accountability for City’s Decay
JOHANNESBURG – Truth today declared that the prolonged neglect of Johannesburg’s infrastructure by successive DA and ANC administrations has reached a breaking point. With a staggering infrastructure backlog and daily service interruptions, our city is being driven to the brink of collapse.
Kabelo Manyama, the Truth mayoral candidate for the City of Johannesburg, issued a scathing condemnation of the current leadership:
"The people of Johannesburg are tired of empty promises and budget speeches that mask the reality of a city in decline. For years, the DA and ANC have played a game of political musical chairs while our water pipes burst, our power grid falters, and our roads crumble. They describe Johannesburg as 'a city under pressure'—we call it a city under siege by incompetence and systematic neglect."
Manyama emphasized that current fiscal policies, which lean heavily on tariff increases while failing to meaningfully address the critical backlog in water and power infrastructure, are an insult to struggling residents.
"We are not looking for more debt or more 'collaborative interventions' that yield no results. We are looking for immediate, decisive action. Truth represents a departure from the failed status quo. We are committed to restoring the dignity of our residents, securing our utilities, and ensuring that every cent of municipal funds is used to fix the city, not to pad the pockets of ineffective governance."
Truth calls on all Johannesburg residents to reject the cycle of mismanagement and join a movement built on transparency, reliability, and genuine service delivery.
"The time for excuses is over. Johannesburg deserves better than the current administration's record of failure. Together, we will rebuild this city," concluded Manyama.

🚨Mozambique Blocks Over 5,000 South African Trucks From Entering Country
Mozambique has reportedly blocked more than 5,000 South African trucks from passing through its territory amid growing tensions linked to recent anti-immigrant unrest in South Africa.
The move has caused major disruptions in regional trade and transportation, with long queues of trucks stranded at border points as authorities monitor the situation.
The development comes as several African countries continue to react to reports of xenophobic attacks and intimidation targeting foreign nationals and businesses in parts of South Africa.
The restriction is expected to affect the movement of goods across Southern Africa, raising concerns among transport operators, traders, and businesses that rely heavily on cross-border commerce.

🇺🇸 Trump confirmed today that China is refusing to buy NVIDIA chips because they are developing their own
This once again confirms that the US has lost the main bargaining card with China which I wrote about it yesterday.
TRUMP: “They have (Nvidia) a much higher level than H200.China needs it and yeah it came up. They choose not to buy because they want to develop their own. I think something could happen on that.”
