### JUSTICE FOR THE UGANDAN NATIONAL — DEMAND FOR IMMEDIATE POLICE INVESTIGATION

The Truth and Solidarity Movement strongly condemns the reported killing of a Ugandan national in Durban.

We are deeply disturbed by allegations that an innocent Ugandan visitor, reportedly in South Africa legally as a tourist, lost his life amid anti-foreign-national hostility.

We demand that SAPS urgently investigate the circumstances of his death, identify everyone responsible, and make arrests wherever sufficient evidence exists.

We specifically call for an investigation into any alleged involvement of Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, including whether any statements, instructions or actions contributed unlawfully to the violence. If credible evidence establishes criminal responsibility, she must face arrest and prosecution in accordance with South African law.

No individual or political movement is above the law.

### TRUTH CONDEMNS THE KILLING OF SAPS OFFICER EUNICE NORTMAN — DEMANDS JUSTICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY

The Truth and Solidarity Movement (TRUTH) expresses its deepest condolences and profound sorrow following the reported killing of **SAPS Administrative Officer Eunice Nortman**, attached to the Lichtenburg Crime Intelligence Gathering (CIG) unit, whose end of watch is recorded as 19 October 2026.

The loss of a member of the South African Police Service is a tragedy not only for the family and colleagues of the deceased, but for the entire nation.

**WE DEMAND JUSTICE FOR EUNICE NORTMAN!**

TRUTH strongly condemns the continuing violence and criminal attacks affecting South African communities and law-enforcement personnel.

If criminal violence caused Officer Nortman's death, those responsible must be identified, arrested, prosecuted and held fully accountable under South African law.

We call upon the Minister of Police, SAPS national leadership and relevant investigative authorities to:

1. Conduct an urgent, independent and thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Officer Nortman's death.
2. Identify and arrest all perpetrators where evidence of criminal conduct exists.
3. Ensure that the investigation is transparent and that the family receives regular updates.
4. Strengthen protection for police officers and intelligence personnel.
5. Provide appropriate support to the bereaved family and colleagues.

Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma Urges Public To Stop Speculation After Man Is Allegedly Killed By Protesters In Durban

March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma has urged people to stop speculating about the fatal assault of a man believed to be a foreign national in Durban and allow the police to investigate the incident.

The man was allegedly beaten to death by a group of about 50 people during a march in central Durban today, Thursday. Police have launched a murder investigation, but the motive for the killing remains unknown.

Speaking to MDNtv’s Norma Duma, Ngobese-Zuma said the law must take its course and that anyone found to be responsible must be arrested.

A family home deal has turned into a serious court case involving former eThekwini DA councillor Ismail Cassimjee. The State accuses Cassimjee and his co-accused, Thamothran Junior Raman, of fraud and theft linked to alleged property and vehicle scams totalling about R1.5 million. One of the cases involves Cassimjee’s sister and brother in law, who allegedly lost R612,000 in a deal to buy a house in Malvern. Prosecutors say the properties were not for sale and the accused had no authority to sell them. His sister, brother-in-law and other complainants have testified in court, while one complainant died before giving evidence.

Cassimjee took the stand in the Durban Regional Court and told the court he believed Raman had a contact who knew about properties going on auction. He said he received R15,000 per deal as a facilitator’s fee. These are serious allegations, but accusations are not proof of guilt, and the court must weigh the evidence before reaching a verdict. The case is expected to continue on 30 October, when further questioning is due. For now, the facts must speak louder than political titles, family ties or public opinion. Justice means accountability where wrongdoing is proved, and fairness until then.

### THREE WOMEN KILLED — CORPORATE ACCOUNTABILITY CANNOT BE OPTIONAL

The Truth and Solidarity Movement expresses its deepest condolences to the families of three female managers reportedly murdered at a Boxer store in eShowe, KwaZulu-Natal, on Saturday, 10 October 2026.

According to reports, a former employee allegedly produced a firearm during or following an internal disciplinary process, confined the managers in an office and fatally shot them.

This horrific incident demands urgent criminal investigation, justice for the victims and a thorough examination of workplace security arrangements.

**THREE WOMEN WENT TO WORK. THREE WOMEN NEVER RETURNED HOME. THIS MUST NEVER BE TREATED AS BUSINESS AS USUAL.**

### OUR DEMANDS

**1. IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION OF BOXER'S WORKPLACE SECURITY**

We demand an independent examination of the security arrangements, emergency procedures, access controls and risk assessments at the eShowe store.

**2. NATIONWIDE BOXER SAFETY AUDIT**

We call upon the Department of Employment and Labour to conduct an urgent inspection programme across Boxer stores throughout South Africa, prioritising facilities where credible safety concerns have been identified.

**3. SUSPENSION OF OPERATIONS WHERE SERIOUS SAFETY FAILURES ARE IDENTIFIED**

We demand that authorities issue immediate prohibition notices or order temporary closures at Boxer premises where investigations establish an imminent danger to workers, as permitted by law.

Where systemic failures are established, we will call for wider operational suspensions until adequate safeguards are implemented.

**4. JUSTICE FOR THE THREE MURDERED WOMEN**

We demand that SAPS prioritise the investigation, locate the suspect and ensure that all available evidence is preserved for prosecution.

**5. ACCOUNTABILITY FROM BOXER'S NATIONAL LEADERSHIP**

Boxer's senior management must publicly explain what security measures existed at the eShowe store, whether any threats had previously been reported, and what immediate protections are being introduced for employees.

**6. SUPPORT FOR THE VICTIMS' FAMILIES**

We call for meaningful financial assistance, counselling, trauma support and appropriate compensation through all applicable legal mechanisms.

"South African workers are human beings, not disposable labour.

No woman should leave her home to earn an honest living and lose her life in a workplace.

Boxer's national leadership must face serious questions about employee protection. Expressions of sympathy are not enough. We demand transparent answers, independently verified safety improvements and accountability wherever negligence is established.

We will not accept commercial convenience being placed above human life.

The Truth and Solidarity Movement declares that the time has come for a complete economic and infrastructural transformation of Sekhukhune District Municipality, Limpopo.

**Our people deserve more than promises. They deserve decent housing, employment, modern infrastructure, quality education and economic dignity.**

For far too long, communities across Sekhukhune have experienced unemployment, inadequate infrastructure, housing shortages and limited industrial opportunities.

The Truth and Solidarity Movement presents an ambitious vision to change this reality.

### 1. NINE-STOREY MODERN RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS

We propose replacing unsuitable and deteriorating housing conditions with carefully planned, modern nine-storey residential developments.

Our housing programme will prioritise:

The Truth and Solidarity Movement announces its commitment to pursuing a comprehensive, independent and transparent investigation into the financial management of the City of Cape Town and the Democratic Alliance's relevant financial records over the past **20 years**, through lawful oversight and investigative processes.

**THE ERA OF FINANCIAL SECRECY, POLITICAL PROTECTION AND UNACCOUNTABLE GOVERNANCE MUST COME TO AN END.**

For too long, the people of Cape Town have demanded affordable housing, employment, basic services, safer communities and responsible management of public resources.

No official should enjoy immunity from legitimate investigation.

4. CRIMINAL ACCOUNTABILITY AND RECOVERY OF PUBLIC FUNDS

Where investigations establish evidence of corruption, fraud, money laundering or unlawful enrichment, the Truth and Solidarity Movement will demand that the appropriate authorities pursue prosecution, asset recovery and arrests where legally justified.

The Truth and Solidarity Movement commits to pursuing a **5% reduction in Cape Town's homicide rate within the first nine months** of implementing its public safety programme.

We will establish measurable crime-reduction targets, transparent reporting and accountable policing strategies.
