Who says you can't earn a bachelor's degree at a community college? @dallascollegetx is now home to TWO bachelor's degree programs thanks to the launch of our RN-B.S.N. program. Our first cohort launched earlier this month, with another class set to start this fall.

After over two decades of service, @dallascollegetx Trustee Charletta Rogers Compton is calling it a career! She joined the board in 2000 and in 2014 became our first Black female board chair. She’s also a Mountain View Campus alum. While she’ll be missed, her impact remains!

Day 3 of the Dallas College Citizen Police Academy. We covered topics such as Use of Force (Officers have the right to intervene) Internal Affairs (IA police the police) and Alcohol Awareness (Know yourself, know your limit). All in bridging the divide with our school community.

Our Admin Office had our Holiday gathering today and it was wonderful. The camaraderie was great. The food was amazing. The fellowship is what helps bridge the divide internally as a police department. Way to end the year on a positive note. Let’s keep growing and glowing in 24.

The Dallas College Police Department is giving time back by volunteering with the North Texas Food Bank to make a difference. Millions of meals are distributed through this program throughout the year. You should volunteer, too.

I didn’t come to play with y’all today while volunteering at NTFB. My fingers popped out of my right glove and my strong hand thumb has a blister. Why am I wired like this? I go hard at every single task. I’m trying to learn to walk through the crowd slowly. I did see my friends.
