I learned from Milan
- Trust your reports, overwhelm them with responsibility. Then, verify.
- Stay in the background, elevate the team into the spotlights.
- Hiring: when in doubt, you're out.
- No "quarterly" (infinity) planning.
- If you can do it today: do it today (ie: reorg today, hire today, fire today).
- Bias for rewarding top performers.
- Engineers can do the work of PMs or TPMs themselves.
- Zero meeting culture works

Thanks for all the ml-infra teams keeping it up 24/7.
Managing a single supercomputer is hard.
