Michelle tried to show her love to her mom through food as her caretaker in Crying in Hmart. I lost my mom suddenly and didn’t get to do that but I’m remembering her through the food she used to make by recreating them. This book meant a lot to me in articulating the grief I felt

I had a good weekend, where I was surrounded by family one day and friends the next. I was super anxious about hosting both days but it turned out well. I was cooking the whole day for family and I would give myself a B+ for effort and overall taste.

Some of the gifts under my Xmas tree are fake gifts that my late mom wrapped at least 10 years ago. I never threw them out bc she wrapped everything perfectly. I’ll never throw them out
