@maroon420@LevitskyGregory@piperboywilliam 1. It was the phrase, if you want me to move then you’d have to move me is provocation.
2. The Liberty school had a tent that was 5 1/2 feet away. Not to mention other school’s tents.
3. The school tents are small spaces and there were already other memorial athletes there
@maroon420@LevitskyGregory@piperboywilliam If KA said what the Liberty athlete heard is true (“if you want me to move, you’d have to move me”), then it would be a provocation. Especially since the tension was building due to KA refusing multiple prior verbal requests.
@GodDreaded@karar0se2008@piperboywilliam He was in the event for different events (it wasn’t just a track meet but a track and field meet). His school was hosting, which is why his coach texted him to step up and help.
@Aceqlom@Notwokenow This piece of information will most likely be challenged by prosecution during the defence witness statements. Why did Centennial not bring a tent? (While other schools have one.) Did they not own one or not have one set up yet? Where are the rest of that team?
@vicki_mal1@Notwokenow His suspension from school may have been a rumor. Is there a source that have this info, preferably outside of social media.
The reason it is in doubt is KA’s name is on the entries of the event page for two different events.
@Thefightingnr11@Notwokenow Eddie will most likely be a witness to provide his statement and relationship to KA.
His initials, which was mentioned in the defence opening statement is interesting as EP. Due to the arrest report.
Also, KA could have said he was with Eddie when asked why he was there.
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN The officer that arrested KA was asked, on the stand, if KA had noticeable injuries. The officer replied that KA only had a little blood on his left middle finger.
If the video is true, then the officer committed perjury. Which begs the question of why he would do that.
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN Like I stated, this is only in the defence opening statement. Also, his words were not “as long as you don’t touch me, we’re cool”, it was “touch me and see what happens”. A testimony from another school’s athlete claim he said “if you want me to move, you’d have to move me”
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN Again, this was only mentioned in the defence’s opening statement, which is not deemed as evidence. The testimonies never mentioned him being with another then Austin confronted him. Do you have sources that say otherwise?
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN With the testimonies so far, it seems like that is still up for the defence to prove.
My questions are: why was he alone? Why not just tell Austin or the others that he’s waiting for someone on that team? Why didn’t the friend come when the commotion started to clear the air?
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN There were other tents that were available. From the photo, there was another school’s immediately next to Memorial’s. It wasn’t like Memorial’s tent was the only one in the vicinity.
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN No, it actually shows that he was responsible for setting up the space and keeping the space an environment for his teammates.
And why should the coach be charged with incitement? He didn’t ask them to fight. He asked Austin to keep the tent a safe environment.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@Michiga62228059@jdmiles11 Him standing or sitting also needs to be in relevancy to KA. If they were both sitting or standing, then the stab to the chest (near the heart) is reasonable. If AM was standing and KA stood after being pushed, it is again a minor detail.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@Michiga62228059@jdmiles11 Yes. The reason I call these minor is because it has no direct influence on the incident. If their testimonies were to contradict the sequence of events that led to the stabbing, ie one said AM pushed then got stabbed while another said KA stabbed as AM approached, that’s major.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@Michiga62228059@jdmiles11 The fact that not all witnesses remember the events that happened over a year ago exactly the same? I would expect the same minor discrepancies from the defence as well.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@Michiga62228059@jdmiles11 It depends on how the jury interprets their statements. But the witness you are referring to said KA was “half in, half out of the bleachers”. But the update concludes with him saying “everyone under the tent was a Memorial student except Anthony” which could imply KA’s inside.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@jdmiles11 That name is very interesting. Because in the police report, there is a EP (redacted due to his age I guess). When he talked to the officer, it was noted that Karmelo was “another male, who he (EP) did not know”.
So now we can only wait for him to take the stand.
@tripdacrip@carrie3531@AreLiberal68363@MaryAnnreports May I ask which source you are following? The one I’m following has the latest update at 13m ago and this was in the statement.
"He walked up and stood in our tent," the athlete said.
The “he” is referring to Karmelo.
