@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN The officer that arrested KA was asked, on the stand, if KA had noticeable injuries. The officer replied that KA only had a little blood on his left middle finger.
If the video is true, then the officer committed perjury. Which begs the question of why he would do that.
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN Like I stated, this is only in the defence opening statement. Also, his words were not “as long as you don’t touch me, we’re cool”, it was “touch me and see what happens”. A testimony from another school’s athlete claim he said “if you want me to move, you’d have to move me”
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN Again, this was only mentioned in the defence’s opening statement, which is not deemed as evidence. The testimonies never mentioned him being with another then Austin confronted him. Do you have sources that say otherwise?
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN With the testimonies so far, it seems like that is still up for the defence to prove.
My questions are: why was he alone? Why not just tell Austin or the others that he’s waiting for someone on that team? Why didn’t the friend come when the commotion started to clear the air?
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN There were other tents that were available. From the photo, there was another school’s immediately next to Memorial’s. It wasn’t like Memorial’s tent was the only one in the vicinity.
@88hsh88@shoogdon@AtypicalMAGAS@ANTHONYBLOGAN No, it actually shows that he was responsible for setting up the space and keeping the space an environment for his teammates.
And why should the coach be charged with incitement? He didn’t ask them to fight. He asked Austin to keep the tent a safe environment.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@Michiga62228059@jdmiles11 Him standing or sitting also needs to be in relevancy to KA. If they were both sitting or standing, then the stab to the chest (near the heart) is reasonable. If AM was standing and KA stood after being pushed, it is again a minor detail.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@Michiga62228059@jdmiles11 Yes. The reason I call these minor is because it has no direct influence on the incident. If their testimonies were to contradict the sequence of events that led to the stabbing, ie one said AM pushed then got stabbed while another said KA stabbed as AM approached, that’s major.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@Michiga62228059@jdmiles11 The fact that not all witnesses remember the events that happened over a year ago exactly the same? I would expect the same minor discrepancies from the defence as well.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@Michiga62228059@jdmiles11 It depends on how the jury interprets their statements. But the witness you are referring to said KA was “half in, half out of the bleachers”. But the update concludes with him saying “everyone under the tent was a Memorial student except Anthony” which could imply KA’s inside.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@jdmiles11 That name is very interesting. Because in the police report, there is a EP (redacted due to his age I guess). When he talked to the officer, it was noted that Karmelo was “another male, who he (EP) did not know”.
So now we can only wait for him to take the stand.
@tripdacrip@carrie3531@AreLiberal68363@MaryAnnreports May I ask which source you are following? The one I’m following has the latest update at 13m ago and this was in the statement.
"He walked up and stood in our tent," the athlete said.
The “he” is referring to Karmelo.
@GeneralGate@lsteinberg7@jdmiles11 The defence’s opening statement that I have read mentioned a friend but not his name. Which source are you following where the defence revealed the name?
@tripdacrip@carrie3531@AreLiberal68363@MaryAnnreports The Memorial coach testified that he texted Austin that day to step up and help with the tent. He also commented that when he came back he noticed there were no coaches near his tent.
@Brekbeat_Summer@RachelWellingT@MaryAnnreports Both Austin and Karmelo are entered for different events at that meet.
The Memorial coach texted AM to step up and help with the tent. Their school is hosting and the coach is running other errands.
KA arrived with his school yet decided to go to another schools tent
@financialcnspr Such a blatant lie. The coach said he was kicked off but they let him back on because he was given responsibility in a previous meet that he neglected. The coach also said he sent Austin a text that day to step up and help with the tents.
@JoeEsjay@JoeOShe12137824@contemptuousbmf Yup. Especially since they included it in their opening statement, if there is no witness that’s a big hole in their entire defense.
@eyedrtroyATX@bAnthonYsr You got a few names messed up.
It was the memorial coach that testified, not centennial.
Austin was tasked to be put in charge of the tent, not Anthony.
Anthony wasn’t with his teammates when the incident happened, so we don’t know how his teammates dealt with the rain.
