Here were the poll results our local TV station ran on whether Roseanne should be cancelled:
Fire only Roseanne - 8 %
Cancel the show - 22 %
Keep the show - 70 %
I think that about runs equal to how everyone feels.
@ABC acted in haste since new shows don't air til Fall.

Game shows made a comeback this year. Screw the statue. Now my mom is watching the entire telecast just to see who wins the jet ski.
I don't have the heart to tell her it's only a publicity stunt.

@Shir_Lo No some were interviewed explaining exactly that. They were hearing it by microphone inside the auditorium which made it sound more muffled compared to how clearly we heard it. IOW, it didn't sound that bad to them.
You saw what you wanted to see due to what you were hearing.

@Shir_Lo No you're wrong on that. Players face reactions had nothing whatsoever to do with Fergie's National Anthem.
They were "blush" reacting to the camera being on them which showed them on the big screen in front of them. That's why most of them looked at the screen then blushed.
