I'm fed up of parties campaigning on social and foreign issues in local politics.
Local government has no control over these issues and this form of politics only seeks to divide us needlessly.
Greater Manchester needs a mayoral candidate who will focus on what the role actually entails.
That option doesn't exist.
So I am very happy to announce that I intend to stand for election to Greater Manchester Mayor in 2028.

If you live in Greater Manchester and want to support a 2028 Mayoral campaign that:
-Keeps local politics local.
-Puts forwards ahead of left and right.
-Has honesty at the heart of everything it does.
Support my 2028 campaign.

@ArchiesPolitics They are a long way departed from before the SDP-Liberal merger.
Still a bit of the Liberal spirit in there, but more of a modern centrist group with a tiny left wing tilt than anything like original British Liberalism.
I'll be releasing my 3 committments as a Greater Manchester mayoral candidate sometime next week.
Website up and running by at least the end of next month.

Going out to clear a ginnel full of nettles today in my area of Bolton.
I'm the mayoral candidate of the community, not the electorate.

I can see what Farage and Reform HQ were trying with this whole thing, but I feel most people in politics would've seen how this could easily blow up in his face.
Farage is currently throwing everything he has into a by-election he called, where his only opponent is a bin.
The bin is currently on 30%
Reform are now claiming if he beats the bin, that somehow gives him a mandate to be Prime Minister.
Utterly delusional .
Great stuff, will create more healthcare jobs for health students like me.
Still very worried that Andy might have a spending problem (though this was a Starmer project, so maybe it is a Labour Party spending problem).
Google just pulled the "we couldn't verify you are an adult" card on me.
And then I changed back the settings it changed without issue.
What is even the point of that?
Finding jobs to apply for can be a job on it's own.
So many job adverts won't even say when the job is.
I can't apply for anything that needs flexible hours (I'm 17 and in education) and nothing on the four days a week i'm in college. It leaves the tiniest pool of jobs for us college students to grab at.
I would say a hero, based on his wartime leadership in the second world war where at points it seemed so bleak. Gallipoli was a massive stain on him though.
But certainly a very respectable person including Gallipoli with how he chose to fight on the frontlines after getting demoted and did 40 patrols into no-mans-land.
