Building in public update about the Reddit Lead Finder tool ๐ฅ
Added AI DM generation that actually sounds like a real human โ no more robotic sales copy.
It reads the post context, understands the vibe, and crafts personalized messages that feel natural and engaging.
Building this in public โ next up: improve the metrics and campaign dashboard.
What feature would help you if you used this tool?
@hoomanask@pcshipp Nice tips ๐.
Regarding building a solution and then looking for a problem, could you give one tip on how you search for a solution first?
@Fer_MOMENTO It makes sense, but what do you mean by successful SaaS? A SaaS that crossed, let's say, $10K MRR?
Also, if you could give one piece of SaaS advice, what would you give for people who are not successful yet?
Thanks ๐
@tonnoz@dpdawson I once made a fart ๐จ sound Chrome extension that would fart every time people scrolled, minimized, or maximized the window, but Google rejected it ๐
I think u should do it. Assume you have nothing to lose. If SaaS fails, u'll learn a lot abt competition & building/shipping.
I built 2 SaaS projects & both failed. In both, I found others doing the same, but reasons differed. 1st: huge mkt but complex laws & distrib. 2nd: tool people used but not willing to pay.
Learned a lot & now building another. Guess what? LoL, others exist too ๐ but I will do different stuff based on what I learned so far
๐ Week 2 of RedditLeadFinder โ Building in Public
Iโm building this tool because I was tired of manually hunting Reddit for leads every single day.
This week I finally went from ideas โ real code. Progress is being good
โ Built a clean Metrics Dashboard โ now I can see total leads found, average warmth score, and conversion potential at a glance
โข Improved Warmth Scoring (AI that detects real buying intent: pain, budget mentions, โrecommend meโ, frustration, etc.)
โข Added Action Events so the system learns what good leads look like over time
@ApplyWiseAi The scoring at this initial step is based on campaign keywords and other information about the leads. With that, I define the scoring and set a warm level.
Week 1 building RedditLeadFinder in public โ
Building tool to find Reddit leads via pain pts & AI intent signals. Scratching my itch for 1st product leads lol.
Done: repo live, API rsch, gen DMs, simple dash w/ leads counter by campaign, DMs sent + metrics.
Next: lead scoring & top campaign subreddits.
Would this be useful to you?
