Anyone who commits domestic violence is not fit to serve in Congress. The House Ethics Committee should thoroughly investigate any credible allegations, and any member found to have committed domestic violence should resign from Congress immediately.
I know both Max Miller and Emily Moreno, as well as their families. I am deeply saddened that their personal lives have become such a public matter, especially as it relates to their daughter, Ruthie.
One thing they both seem to agree on is that Ruthie’s best interests should come first. Those interests will not be served by litigating these matters in public, but by addressing them privately.
Given everything they are facing, I do not see how a campaign for Congress benefits any of them. I believe Max would be making the right decision to step aside as a candidate and resign from Congress to focus on what is in the best interest of his daughter. Years from now, I believe he will look back and know it was the right choice for her.
I hope this decision leads to a more constructive conversation about Ruthie’s future and gives Max and Emily the opportunity, as private citizens, to do what is best for their daughter. My prayers are with them and their family.
"Laura and I were saddened to wake up to the shocking news of Senator Lindsey Graham's death. He was a knowledgeable Senator who understood how the world works and how important America's international engagement is to resist tyranny. He was a kind and funny man who loved our country and loved serving it. South Carolina was fortunate to have such a committed public servant in its corner. And I was fortunate to have known Lindsey Graham."
-President George W. Bush
Fran and I are so saddened by the death of our friend Lindsey Graham. Lindsey and I served together in the U.S. Senate. He was an effective and dedicated U.S. Senator. We both sat on the Judiciary Committee and worked together on the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, starting when he was the lead sponsor in the U.S. House. He had a great sense of humor and the ability to cut through political rhetoric and explain in understandable terms what an issue was really about. Lindsey worked hard each day to protect the people of South Carolina and our country.

Assistant AG Colin McDonald: "Today, Ohio’s fraud-fighting team is uniting with us in historic ways to contribute uniquely to the fight against fraud. Attorney general Dave Yost is advancing an $11M fraud action through the Medicaid fraud control unit... the fraud division and Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose executed this morning, a data sharing agreement that provides the fraud division access to corporate registrant data held by the state of Ohio. This data will be used in proactive data analysis to quickly identify ownership links between clinics, labs and billing entities that fraudsters use and hide behind to obscure control over healthcare fraud and other fraud schemes."
