🇯🇵 This is how fans in Japan celebrated their World Cup match: waiting for the traffic lights to turn red, then getting out of the way of cars when they turn green

Rocketmaker SpaceX began trading on the Nasdaq Friday, boosting Elon Musk’s fortune to an estimated $1.1 trillion.
The idea of anyone becoming a trillionaire seemed unfathomable even just a couple years ago.
Here's a closer look at Musk's race to the top: https://t.co/FaIFthbWYG
The key to saving the environment is not looking backward, it’s moving forward.
I realized this the first time I visited Italy twenty years ago. Everything was clean and green. The rivers sparkled. The lesson for me was obvious: the answer is not underdevelopment. The answer is progress.
When China was poor, the air was so polluted that people could barely see the blue sky. Today, blue skies have returned to their cities. Development does not only create wealth, it also provides the resources needed to restore and protect the environment.
Some environmentalists want us to preserve every aspect of our biodiversity, including the mosquitoes for example, so that researchers can fly in once every ten years from their universities (which build particle accelerators and billion-dollar laboratories with their pocket money), study our ecosystems, and count how many people died from dengue outbreaks.
They want to buy our air through carbon credits. If carbon credits were such a great deal, they would be selling them to us, not the other way around.
Cleaning every river, lake, and water source in El Salvador, and ensuring they remain clean and sparkling, would cost roughly $12 billion. Where is that money supposed to come from without economic development? Carbon credits?
The path forward for our country is the path of Japan and Singapore, not the path of the Congo.
Three of the five men arrested in Connecticut for trying to meet an UNDERAGE CHILD for sex were ILLEGAL ALIENS.
These PEDOPHILES were released into our nation by the Biden Administration — and face charges for sexual abuse of a minor, attempt to commit sexual contact with a child under 16, and sexual assault.
Connecticut sanctuary politicians must NOT RELEASE these monsters back into our communities to prey on more children.
There are many good X articles lately, some superb, intellectual, and honest.
They are 1000x better than opinion columns in newspapers. I noticed my chat group has more X article links than links from MSM.
In the era of agentic AI, speed in reacting to truthful information is everything, or gradient descent can quickly go in another direction.
A rare sign of enlightenment.
🇧🇷 21-year-old Maria died in absolute horror: thrown off Skeleton Bridge for bungee jumping with no rope attached.
Staff suited her up, carried her out, and launched her anyway as everyone watched. She plummeted straight to the ground.
6 workers have been arrested. 3 charged with homicide with implied malice.
Unforgivable criminal negligence

Quem autorizou? Com base em quê?
O Brasil tem direito a uma resposta. E rápido.
Happy Birthday to the 45th and 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. A relentless patriot who fights every day for the country he loves, the people he serves, and the American Dream. 🇺🇸🇺🇸

@renatajbarreto A propósito quem é @nathfinancas ?
I'm seeing a lot of fake information about a potential deal to reopen the Strait and end Iran's nuclear weapons program. First, the Iranians are not receiving any cash, and no funds are being released for simply signing a deal or attending a meeting. The deal is structured to ensure that the US and its allies concerns are prioritized, and that if the Islamic Republic of Iran meets its obligations, then economic benefits will flow to them and to the entire region. This deal has the potential to remake the region and lead to lasting peace.
I've noticed a couple of bizarre things in the reporting over the last few hours. First, people who (rightly) said Donald Trump was a historic president a month ago now criticizing a deal based on unconfirmed media reports. Second, people who say you can't trust a word said by the IRGC who apparently believe anonymously sourced social media posts.
The president is going to get us a good outcome, one way or the other.
