We are almost there!

Our first Safe Alternative Housing Project will be ready for commissioning in a few days.

Some 300 VRA-induced flood victims putting up in congested classrooms can now have their dignity restored as they prepare to move into decent modern accommodation.

We are eternally grateful to Construction Ambassadors — a subsidiary of the First Sky Group, our chiefs for donating free land, and members of my Alternative Housing Committee for making this possible.

We shall start work on our second alternative housing project very shortly.

Remember that no one will be asked to pay rent for these houses.

I shall never ever abandon my distressed people.

An auspicious, memorable, and manifoldly blessed day which my beloved North Tongu shall never ever forget.

It has been such a rare honour, an extreme privilege and profoundly inspirational hosting His Eminence, Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, the National Chief Imam of the Republic of Ghana who insisted on personally visiting VRA-induced flood victims in my constituency, praying with them and making exceptionally generous donations.

The National Chief Imam's soothing message of Allah's bountiful blessings after any disaster was most uplifting, therapeutic and divinely reassuring.

His Eminence led special prayers for all the displaced including senior citizens, mothers, children and other vulnerable persons in the 21 camps.

In addition to a massive donation of carefully selected relief items, the globally celebrated religious leader and oracle of peace made a cash donation of GHS70,000.00.

The cash donation was promptly handed over to the Accountability Elders Council to support the construction of our alternative housing project.

May I render profuse personal appreciation to His Eminence for the special prayers and blessings — an act of kindness I shall cherish all my life.

Our great nation is eternally grateful to Allah for the precious gift of this graceful, compassionate, peaceful, modest, caring, selfless, wise, distinguished and unifying religious leader par excellence.

Today I paid the full fees of 50 tertiary students from the 50 most affected displaced families as a result of the catastrophic VRA-induced floods in my beloved constituency.

The package which includes a back-to-school transportation financial support amounts to a total sum of GHS110,524.83.

The 50 students were selected from all 21 displaced camps; all traditional areas; and all tertiary institutions from universities, colleges of education, nursing training institutions and technical universities.

This latest North Tongu MP’s bursary for displaced tertiary students initiative is expected to guarantee that my beloved tertiary students are able to continue their education without disruptions despite the devastating economic impact of the VRA-induced floods.
