the world of tennis celebrating the win of a player with a domestic violence and abuse history and protecting him is truly atrocious and this is yet again another reminder of the reality women have to live in every single day it makes me physically ill
my heart is with olga, brenda, & all abuse victims. today is an embarrassing day for this sport & every athlete/commentator/etc complacent in platforming him should be called out.
There is nothing to feel emotional about this piece of shit Zverev btw. Even outside the abuse allegations, he’s repulsive, arrogant, rude, he’s ugly, his game is shit, he’s the mentally weakest player ever.
And with the abuse allegations, it makes him the most unlikeable player
this is an absolutely tragic day for tennis, especially all women on the tour and the fans. a man who has domestically abused two of his partners should not be given such rights. we stand with olga and brenda. this is embarrassing and disgusting from the tour itself
and talk to me again about how males lose their careers over sexual and domestic abuse allegations, name me one single male athlete that had their life ruined over abuse allegations, tell me one sportive entity that had women safety as their priority over violent men
maybe the sport has made peace with it, but i never will. as a female fan, seeing a man with multiple abuse allegations celebrated as a grand slam champion would make a mockery of everything this sport claims to stand for. this is NOT a fairytale, this is a dark day
@TheTennisLetter All the adults suspected he’s become extra insufferable once he won his one and only slam. It didn’t take him but 30 minutes to prove us correct.
