MATT GUTMAN: Breaking news now from The White House. President Trump doubling down in his fight against birthright citizenship. The Supreme Court just weeks ago struck down the president's 2025 executive order denying U.S. citizenship to babies born to undocumented parents. Tonight, he signed two new orders. Our Weijia Jiang is at The White House. Weijia, so if the Supreme Court just struck down this measure, how does the administration plan to enforce it now?

WEIJIA JIANG: Well, good evening to you, Matt. Tonight, legal experts are already questioning whether the administration can implement these orders after that Supreme Court decision in June. Today, President Trump called the ruling very unfortunate and said they have to make adjustments. The justices confirmed that the 14th amendment means everyone born in the United States is an American citizen at birth. Now, Trump wants to restrict automatic citizenship for certain categories of people, including babies born to parents with links to foreign embassies and anyone considered an alien enemy of the country. Another order targets what the administration calls birth tourists, those who allegedly obtain U.S. visas for the sole purpose of giving birth while here. Trump claimed hundreds of thousands take advantage of thousands take advantage of birth tourism, without providing data or evidence, Matt.
